The heading stated that the screw was an M6 screw. It was not. It was much bigger, almost 8 mm in diameter. So it doesn't work and I wasted my money.

One of the bolts on my lawnmower fell out so I bought these as a replacement. The bolts are plow bolts with an elliptical head and a squared off area under the head like carriage bolts have. The original bolt was rounded all the way to the elliptical head. Since these bolts don’t pull down into the round hole they spin around and won’t tighten.I may be able to solve this problem by drilling the hole a little larger or by taking a hand grinder to round down the top of the bolt shaft.
