Amazon shipped these in a soft package. They obviously were transported sandwiched between heavy boxes. When they arrived, they were so smooshed, they were useless to me. I could not get them to reinflate, and the quality of the foam itself is poor.

The foam was not 2" thick. I left it out 24hrs to be sure it wasn't just not fully expanding after being vacuum sealed for shipping. It indeed only was 1" and also not very stable. The foam kept bowing where I removed foam.

Bought these to make a tool box more organized and functional so not to have everything loose and spread out. Was easy to use, foam picked apart easily. Good size, but you will need to let the foam expand to normal thickness size due to vacuum sealing, about a day for me. Will try other thicknesses in the future to try different layouts and depths. Good product, definitely recommend if you do not have a hot knife.

Yes, this does come compressed, but it really will fluff back up to a full 2-inch thickness. Mine took 3 days, but it made it. It has a precut grid that reminds me of graph paper, for anyone old enough to know what that is. You can carefully tear off pieces of the soft foam all the way through, or stop part way and leave some foam on the bottom, depending on the thickness of the item you are storing. The foam is good quality and holds things in place well.

Once it's expanded, this foam is easy to work with and perfect for gun or tool cases.I used this in conjunction with some DeWalt TSTAK cases to make perfect storage which won't be shocked or jarred when in transit.I'm not sure why foam pads command such a hefty price tag, but for now, that's the going rate and we'll just have to keep paying to play when I find myself in need. I guess that's a long way of saying the price tag is "fair" and if they cost less, I'd find a lot more use cases for these.
