So we ordered this to replace some older lamps that we had, and upon attempting to use it, we discovered that the lamp was dimmer than the older ones we had.This is either used, defective (Although we tried two), or not OEM.

They work but for how long? The product description and model number used suggests that these are Original NEC BRAND projection lamps, they are not. These cheaper Non-OEM lamps are readily available at a lower price on the internet. I paid a premium specifically for NEC brand products not lower cost knock offs.
