Lightweight but quality. This works just fine to diffuse light, is easy to install and a means you don't need a bulky soft box to get the same effect.

I recently bought a couple LED lights for my YouTube setup and the lights were just a little too harsh, this umbrella was exactly what I needed to be able to soften the light and is perfect. The price is great and they do the job exactly. Since I have two lights I was able to use the sleeve that the umbrella came in to attach to the other light for the same effect since the sleeve is made out of the same material as the umbrella and once the umbrella is out of the sleeve it’s challenging to get it back in, so it turned out to be an even bigger money saver and offered unexpected utility.

I have used umbrella a few times already and it seems good enough quality for the money paid. I have included a few photos of the inside as this information is missing and I think it would be useful to know how the fabric is fixed to the metal rod

After searching for a lighting solution for in-home newborn photography, I discovered the super simple, easy, and perfectly effective shoot through method using this umbrella. I already had a light stand and a bulb from a soft box I had purchased (soft box was too small and thus harsh light), so I just had to add this and a stand adapter. I chose the Neewer 60 inch translucent umbrella instead of the 72 inch because I travel with my newborn set up to my client's homes, and needed something as packable as possible while also large enough to give me soft enough light. This covers both! It's super light weight, roughly the same height as my light stand with the adaptor on top when it's all collapsed, so I'm able to pack it in the same bag for transport. I did add a weight to the stand to make it a little more secure. For less than $75 total I have a perfect lighting kit for all my faux-window light needs.

I've owned this umbrella for about a year and used it on many shoots. Had a nasty surprise today when setting up for a shoot: when opening the umbrella, the ring you slide up the support rod to the catch latch just "self propelled" itself all the way up the support rod, so it touched the umbrella fabric where it meets the top of the rod. I used the umbrella in that position, even though it looked kind of sad, it still was open most of the way and did an ok job as a fill light. It was very hard to close up afterwards. Seems the piece that would stop the ring from sliding up too far had fallen off.

Diffuses even with the natural light that comes from my window (which isn’t much). Really good.

An incredible price for an outstanding product. The umbrella is taunt and with a very nice translucent white. I shoot with soft box, domes, and umbrellas. Each photo shoot determines which flash diffuser I will use. The umbrella is frequently my choice because of the simplicity of setup. Two light stands, two speed lights, and two umbrellas can be set up in just a few minutes. I get soft diffused light that wraps around my subjects. This umbrella, along with two others I already own, meets my expectations and it will be frequently employed.

Let's be honest, at this price you aren't going to get a bulletproof umbrella. It's a little bit fragile. BUT, if you take care of your equipment, it works great. It diffuses the light correctly and the photos taken using it look fine. Buy 2 or 3 of them just in case, and you'll still be spending less than the overpriced "name" brands...
