Overall good product for the price but I will be purchasing a different flash mount because the one this one came with is cheap and not as well designed as others. The mount works, just not great and it a $10 part to have something better. I’m keeping the kit and just buying a different mount.

I've never used umbrellas for photography before so I decided to give these a try. Using them for off-camera flash with my canon flash does a very nice job. You definitely get different toner changes using these and it's been pretty fun getting to use them. I definitely suggest getting a sandbag to add to the tripod in order to add stability to the umbrella bases has any slight wind that catches these can tip over.

I was torn between this product and the Savage brand, but I found that this was a good, complete set as opposed to buying three umbrellas individually without the stand included. In use, I seem to make more use of the black and gold umbrella for achieving warmer tones, but this is possibly liked to the line of work I’m in. The fabric is also thick enough to avoid any excessive light passing through.

First of all you receive a product that; I will say, cost 3 times more that the amount you pay for.The quality, materials and finished is just perfect. Some people said is a litlle light and cheap. Well, if you need to carry this thing somewhere, you wish to have something not to heavy right? Remember this stand is for a flash and an umbrella. The piece that attach the flash and the umbrella is just phenomenal. And the three umbrellas; white, gold and silver are good quality and perfect size.I'm more than happy with this kit.Awesome product Neewer. Thanks amazon, fast and easy as usually.

Bought this kit as I am getting started with off camera lighting and wanted to experiment a little bit. At $33 I figured there was very little risk. It turns out the stand is very high quality. The three umbrellas allow give you the opportunity to experiment with different types of modifiers with a very small investment. My only complaint is that I'd prefer a larger umbrella. Now that I know my preference is the shoot through type I'll be looking for a large shoot through umbrella that I will use with this stand. Even if you only used the stand the price was very good.

This is a simple, but sturdy lightstand, decent umbrellas, and a very nice speedlight mount head. All of it comes in a nice bag with a carrying strap for easy transport. This is not a $100 or more stand, however, it is sturdy enough for a speedlignt (or three), and umbrella, and even a softbox (just make sure you have the legs weighted down or spiked). For the price you can get a three light setup of stands and umbrellas for less than $100. They'll hold up well to mostly normal use, but if something does happen you're not hit in the wallet to severely replacing them. Even a single light setup with a remote flash and one of these stands is very affordable making the move into flash photography off camera available to anyone at a reasonable price.

You get what you pay for, and I quickly upgraded my lighting kit, but if you want to just try out a stand and some umbrellas, or want a cheap backup (or 2nd light), this is... fine. Look, it's a value proposition and not a complete piece of garbage, so 4* from me.Stand - very unstable. No problem indoors, but your umbrella will absolutely fall over outdoors with just a breeze. My new LumoPro stand has feet that lie flush with the ground, plus spikes.Bracket - plastic, cheap. Didn't fall apart, but think carefully if you want to trust your speedlight to it. If you're using a cheap Neewer... why not?Umbrellas - perfectly serviceable. You get 3, so you can play with different styles.Bag - I'm happy they gave me a bag. Not padded, but I could carry everything in the kit plus a monopod.Warning: the kit, esp. the stand and umbrella, do not compact enough to fit into a carry-on. In fact, you'll have to fit it diagonally in a typical suitcase before checking it. There are stands and umbrellas that compact to carry-on dimensions. Just be aware of dimensions. So, like I said, it's a cheap kit, emphasis on cheap. Worth $33 to figure out if you want to dip your hand in strobist photography, probably well paired with a Neewer or YN flash (under $100), but if you're even remotely serious, just go for the better options, esp. the stand and bracket, which potentially protect much more expensive investments.

Let me make this simple for you!1. Two regular light stands. Both black. Good height. Well built. Will last you long depends on usage.2. 6 umbrellas. 2 of each colour. Not that strong nor good quality. For my wedding shoots. Twice a week. I think it will last me a year. Maybe less.3. The stand mount. It's same as any other ones you can get from Amazon. Good quality. Holds onto the stand and holds the flash and umbrella very well.Overall. For the price it's one of the best purchase I've made.If I need another kit, i will buy again.I would recommend this to anyone. Even to professionals. For the price it's brilliant

For the price I paid (~$35) this is a great kit. The stand is reasonably sturdy on an even surface, though I wouldn't count on using it outside in the wind or on uneven ground without weighing it down somehow. The umbrellas are good quality and work great for an indoor mini studio. I mostly use this for shooting product photography or setting up a tiny studio at the animal shelter to photograph cats. The one thing I am planning on replacing is the universal bracket. This piece is all plastic, nothing seems to tighten down very well, and the part that connects to the shoe of your flash is a pain to work with! Still, you can order a better bracket for around $10, and STILL get a great value out of the stand and umbrellas! The carrying case is not super durable, but it does hold everything and has a strap to throw over your shoulder, so if you're not super rough on your equipment, this kit will serve you fairly well.
