I used two of these clips from Neewer this past weekend to hold up two 51 inch circular reflectors on lightstands in studio. Let me tell you, if you use reflectors in studio or the field these make life so much easier! They are super easy to attach on to your light stand and the clip is nice and tight. Attach your reflector on and it’s not going anywhere. Well made and well worth it!

These clamps work great! Especially for what I am using them for. I am using them to make a DIY photo scrim, and so far, they are working perfectly. They grip very nicely, and they come at a great value.

The NEEWER Heavy Duty Metal Clamp is a game changer. I originally bought it to hold reflectors, but it’s ended up being my go-to for holding my 5x7 foot backdrop as well. This thing is solid—super sturdy and built to last. I wish I had found it sooner! The spring is strong, and the grip feels really secure. It attaches easily to my light stand (standard 5/8” attachment), and once it’s locked in, it’s secure. I’ve tested it with different reflectors and backdrops, and it holds everything in place without slipping. The metal build is impressive—it feels way more durable than I expected for the price.Whether I’m working solo or tweaking things mid-shoot, this clamp makes my life easier. I might pick up a second one just to have on hand for other projects. If you’re on the fence—grab it. It’s one of those simple tools that's super handy.

I didn't realize this was just the clamp portion and not the stand, too. Aside from that (user error) the clamp itself is great. Well made, sturdy, strong. I look forward to using it

I bought the Neewer flash umbrella kit ($50 for two stands and 3 umbrellas for each) first and while a good value the stands and mounts are definitely budget quality. This attachment however is substantial and is the same piece you’d use to hold your flash and an umbrella. The clip comes off in the same way so it can serve both purposes and for the money it’s a worth upgrade and definitely up to the task of you piece your own kit together with decent stands. The clip is very strong, has a large surface area for holding the reflector or fabric. The angle adjustment is geared and spring loaded so it’s easier to adjust, and the whole thing is metal as far as I can tell except the knobs. Haven’t even used it yet, just impressed unboxing it with its size, weight, and functionality since the budget flash kit I mentioned is my only experience with this particular gear. Definitely buying another and keeping the original flash/umbrella mounts as backups. This would be perfect for holding diffusion fabric, strong enough, big enough bite, solid adjustment for the price!

I bought the Neewer Photo Studio Heavy Duty Metal Clamp Holder to hold flags and reflectors and, indeed, it works great at those tasks. It’s basically a modified umbrella adapter: adjustable tilt and 5/8” receivers on both ends. The tripod adapter (brass spigot) and clamp are easily removable (loosen t-screws) and you can repurpose it as a umbrella mount, flash mount (add cold shoe) or elbow adapter.I immediately removed the tripod adapter and locked it on an extension arm. The clamp grips flags like glue and is so strong my assistant complained it hurt her hand to open it! Save for the rubber pad on the clamp and the t-screw handles, construction is metal and appears sturdy. It looks similar to my Cowboy Studio Umbrella Bracket (sans clamp). The adjustable tilt locked tight and didn't drift. The umbrella mount hole has a metal thumbscrew to secure the shaft. The only negative thing I can say about this product is the rubber on the clamp smells toxic. However, having owned other products with the same clamp, I know the funky smell disappears after a few months. Great product for small bucks: sturdy and multipurpose use. My only regret is I didn’t buy the two-pack.
