I purchased these to shoot Rollie IR Film. I had a smaller HOYA72 (720NM) filter and when i compare it to the 720 in this bundle, this is much more translucent, However, I found that if you shoot Rollie IR 400 at box speed (400ISO) these work great. I have to shoot at 125 ISO with the hoya72.

For the price, these are great filters. Testing them on a full spectrum camera yields expected results and with an even IR appearance across the whole image, so the coatings are well doneYou can buy these with confidence.

Good value for covering the mostly IR range in a full spectrium camera. Quality and easy to use.

I wanted to explore IR photography without spending too much on high-end filters. This 4-pack is perfect! and the only additional item I've bought to complement this purchase is a set of magnetic filter rings to easily switch wavelengths on the go. The 850nm and 950nm filters produce beautiful black-and-white IR photos. I highly recommend this set!

Set of IR filters. I tried the 720 and 950nm IR filters on modified IR bodies. Two issues. 1 the optical viewfinder could not be used requiring the use of Live View. In Live view, auto focus was not achieved on the body with the 950nm filter and the auto focus on the body with the 720 filter struggled to acquire focus in LV. I promptly returned the set. These may be useful on non modified cameras combined with a tripod and slow shutter speeds.

These filters are very good at what they do which is capture the infrared light allowing you to expose these photos using black & white processing which can make for some very striking photos overall. This set comes with a range of IR levels and I was able to screw easily onto my 70mm lens bevel. Now taking photos with these filters can be very challenging as you can see in the photos included with this review the main image is slightly blurry and that was because my sensor could not completely distinguish the foreground from the background and it was really difficult for me to adjust manually as I thought the shot was clear only to find in post editing that it was not.I think with more practice using these filters I will master how to capture stunning photos, especially in post editing but for a first try, I think they did very well overall. They are not the most expensive IR filters out there but that is ok especially if just starting you want to practice but not spend a ton of money although you do get what you pay for when purchasing filters from any vendor, but Neewer produces very good products and these are no different.Overall I would recommend these to anyone wanting to get into IR photography as it provides a wide range of spectrums for a decent price.

This is a case of I should of known better. I did read the reviews before I bought these filters, some were good and some were bad. So my advice to you if you're thinking of buying these filters, and you think they are infrared filters... Think again cause THEY ARE NOT! These are just deep red filters, and that's all they are! If you really want to buy infrared filters you are going to have to actually go to a camera store either online or in person and buy actual infrared filters and not cheap imitations ( as these are ). I'm being very honest, don't do it, don't buy these filters, you will be sorry you did!!!

I wanted to try out IR photography, but didn't want to spend big bucks on a dedicated camera conversion. I first tried the inexpensive Fotga variable IR filter, but it turned out to be either a scam or a knockoff. I tried to research the web to find the exact visible cutoff filter I needed to match the exact IR cutoff built in to my particular camera, but let's face it, it was going to be hit or miss. As of 2024, the Neewer IR filter set is the cheapest option that gives you a whole set. For my Lumix S5, the IR760 had the right balance. The filters with wavelengths above and the below all were essentially incompatible with my stock S5. The IR850 might have worked, but the one I received was probably a QC-reject, because it bled a lot of yellow light. That might be a useable "effect" for a IR-converted camera, but for a stock camera, it ruined the IR photography. I consider Neewer a reputable brand, but they're not so professional as to provide a spectrograph analysis, so you get what you get. Still, I got what expected, and I was satisfied with my purchase.

Did what it's supposed to - lets me look at the sun without damaging my lens. Note that the sun will appear white when you use these, not yellow. And the sun appears as a perfect circle; you won't see the corona. Which is normal behavior, but keep that in mind if you were expecting to see a burning ball of fire with flares coming out.
