I added it to the neewar stand for more flexibility in filming YouTube videos, I’m really happy with it, had screw on attachment that rotates and is so handy to screw my camera on to

I like it and it worked well last game. I like the ease in the adjustment and was happy it was easy to find and not costing a bundle

When I purchased this type item that came with the Crane 2 gimbal ( china ) the cheap metal alloys wore out after loosening and tightening. This adapter even feels stronger when tightening. No more slipping of a 4k monitor during a shoot ( embarrassing ). Great product and the workmanship and raw materials really hold up to the field work we put it through 6 days a week!

The ball head works as expected and feels sturdier than I anticipated. I’m using it to hold a lightweight LED panel to augment my work from home video chat setup.I did have to contact Newer customer service due to a shipping mishap and they were quick to respond. After some back and forth they remedied the issue so the customer service is also pretty good.

I bought this for my Canon G7X Mark II and it works wonderfully! I didnt want to buy an extra tripod to shoot my videos and since I have the Neewer Ring Light, I decided to buy this instead! Loved it, I would recommend it! Its easy to mount and adjust! Wouldnt recommend for a big camera if it weights alot but its perfect for a vlogging camera since its lightweight!

I use this with my Canon SL2 and Neewer Ring Light for my live streams. Haven't had any issues and works as intended. If you plan to buy the Neewer Ring Light, you will need to buy one of these since the ring light doesn't come with any way to mount your camera to the hot shoe mounting tab on the ring light.

After going to my local camera store to look at ball heads for my ring light, the price of this was more affordable than the +100$ ball heads at my local camera store. It came on time and with everything needed. It feels secure and doesnt wobble too much on my ring light.

It's not bad. No real defects. But keep in mind it is very small, so its holding strength is fairly limited. The show it here used on an external monitor for a DSLR. I've tried that at home (though not through a shoot). While it seems it could work, I didn't feel super-confident with the way that connection felt. So I opted for a simple 1/4" pass-through fitting, ie., giving up ball-head position-ability in favor of zero chance of the monitor tipping over suddenly mid-shoot.I also tested this as a base for a mid-weight DSLR (a Nikon D7000 body, no lens), and it holds statically, but obviously that's an even bigger and more unbalance (once a lens is added) weight than an external monitor, so it's not a use I'd recommend.

Nice and sturdy full metal jacket construction, you will have to crank down on the locking knob to prevent drift but there again if you're only using a (relatively) small (say Neewer 160) LED lamp or seven inch monitor you should be ok. The monitor will drift if bumped however. Not so fast there bubby. So I tried mounting a 7" LCD monitor to this thing and noticed it kept sliding out of position. Huh. Maybe I didn't tighten it down all the way. Cranked the knob. Still sliding. Grabbed my other one (I bought two of these) mounted the monitor and it held.Hmmm. Took both units apart, swapped parts. One body was not as well made as the other, very slight but significant difference where the ball meets the top of the body, the one that does not lock very well has less of a lip. Obviously quality control is not stellar, there again what do you expect when you buy cheap? Get two hope that one works real well either return the one that does not or just use it for non critical usage.
