I've had the chance to own a ton of different V-mount batteries over the past year and can say with confidence that Neewer has improved quite a bit. The original PS099 was fine but they finally listened to feedback and moved the ports to the top! This is really important as the old version had them on the side so it limited the spots one could mount cables for specific camera rigs. I personally never had an issue but I know some FX owners hated the original placement. I should be able to get away with shorter cable runs for my A7III and RV because of this change. I'm not the biggest fan of the cheap door they use to cover the ports but it'll get the job done and should keep any gunk out of that area. Like the previous model, I'm a big fan of the side grips they use as they work well with gloves. I'm not very likely to use the bluetooth feature but I could see this being pretty handy if you need to keep a camera or light running while working on the other side of a room. While this is a really nice battery that has been nicely improved, it still doesn't compare to the Smallrig counterparts. Smallrigs VB99 comes with a beautiful color display, LG cells as well as a ultra premium feel that keeps this model slightly behind. Its also odd to me that the price for this is $250, the same as the VB99. The one standout feature that only Neewer has is the bluetooth monitoring feature so I guess that's the only big reason I could say to pick this particular model. The only reason to spend the extra $100 for this battery instead of the cheaper models is for the 100W capability, something that really isn't necessary unless you have high powered lights or run a bunch of devices off the thing. All in all, make sure you check which battery you can get away with, this is about as large as they'll allow on an airplane (as one battery) and keep in mind that these larger batteries will make your camera feel like a massive brick. I highly recommend getting the V-mount belt clip from Smallrig if you need to use this with a camera/monitor, it makes a world of difference for longer shoots. All in all, this is a great 100W solution if you need that kind of power, It works really well and Neewer seems to stand behind their products with decent warranties.

The app is useful for firmware updates and provides helpful info like temperature and battery stats. On the unit I received, charging with a high-wattage GaN charger caused the battery to heat up. It’s best to let it cool before use, as this can prevent it from reaching maximum output and may trigger thermal protection. I decided it was best to use a lower wattage (30W) charger, at the expense of a longer charging time.Overall, it’s reliable and offers modern connectivity, but Neewer’s higher-capacity options might suit you better if Bluetooth isn’t a must-have.

Nella confezione troviamo oltre hai soliti manuali multilingue, un cavo USBC/USBC e cavo D-TAP.L'ho utilizzata in questa prima settimana soprattutto come punto di ricarica e alimentazione per i vari dispositivi che uso con la mia fotocamera attaccandola al suo supporto che utilizzo con attacco V Mount.Dal punto di vista costruttivo, la batteria è abbastanza compatta e ben organizzata. Posteriormente c'è l'attacco V Mount, mentre frontalmente troviamo un piccolo display che mostra le informazioni essenziali, come il livello della batteria e l'erogazione sulle varie porte. Sul lato sinistro, dietro uno sportellino in gomma, c'è l'ingresso D-Tap, mentre sulla parte superiore ci sono il pulsante di stato e dietro uno sportellino i due ingressi USB-C, una USB-A e le due uscite DC.Una delle cose che mi sono piaciute di più è la varietà di alimentazioni disponibili. Oltre le USBC e USBA le due uscite DC da 8V e 12V sono perfette per le mie luci led e altri accessori che utilizzano questa tipologia di ingresso, e la possibilità di tenere tutto sotto controllo tramite l'applicazione è un bel plus.L'app "Neewer" consente di verificare la carica residua e lo stato di erogazione delle varie porte, il che è particolarmente utile quando si lavora a distanza e si ha bisogno di un controllo rapido dell'alimentazione.Difetti sicuramente il peso i 677g non son eccessivi ma si sentono e avrei preferito qualche opzione nell'applicazione in più per personalizzare l'ordine e il protocollo di alimentazione speriamo in un aggiornamento futuro.Per il momento la valuto positivamente: è un accessorio per chi fa foto e video e non solo dato che e una "fonte di alimentazione" da utilizzare anche come powerbank. Ora resta da vedere quanto durerà la batteria nel tempo, ma per ora è sicuramente un acquisto utile.

Non avevo letto bene l'inserzione e non avevo assolutamente capito che questo smart powerbank fosse personalizzato, ottimizzato per utilizzo video fotografico. Questa è la mia premessa.Arriva in un packaging premium con scatolina di cartone rigido con chiusura a scomparsa. Dentro tutto molto ordinato ma non ho capito il senso di inserire un manuale completo ma miniaturizzato (vedi foto) scritto con carattere 4?6?e comunque poco usufruibile.Detto questo la batteria pesa circa 800grammi ed è molto compatta. Parte del peso è dovuto agli agganci specifici per treppiedi o altro supporto dedicato al videomaking. L'inserzione è ricca di esempi (se la si guarda bene). C'è un piccolo ma chiaro display sulla parte frontale con 2 schermate selezionabili che mostrano cosa stanno esattamente facendo le varie porte presenti sulla parte superiore del prodotto. A questo punto possiamo introdurre l'applicazione che amplifica questa funzionalità di monitoraggio permettendoci anche di fare qualche manovra come limitare in potenza una delle uscite o interrompere l'erogazione di energia.Attenzione però perché non è tutto oro quello che luccica e la possibilità di fare tutte queste cosa passa attraverso (quindi) firmware>chip bt batteria>chip bt cellulare>app quindi nonostante oramai c'è una app per tutto io non do mai nulla per scontato. Ed infatti, nonostante alla prima connessione viene suggerito un aggiornamento firmware, completato con successo, ho avuto in più di una occasione disconnessioni dall'app piuttosto che comandi non eseguiti. In tutto questo c'è anche da dire che la batteria ha continuato ad erogare e il display funzionava perfettamente quindi potevo verificare che effettivamente i dispositivi fossero in carica da li (oltre che dal dispositivo stesso).Una cosa che non ho gradito è stato un forte ronzio che è cominciato quando ho collegato 3 dispositivi in carica contemporaneamente su tutte le porte usb. Ronzio cessato alla disconnessione fisica di una delle 3 ma non ho ancora avuto modo di approfondire.Proseguendo da qui mi viene da pensare come non possa essere accettabile che un prodotto del genere che può alimentare una grande varietà di dispositivi si fermi a 3 senza dare una segnalazione su display o app che l'operazione non è consentita. Peggio ancora se invece è effettivamente consentita ma parte la ronza.Questo potrei accettarlo su dispositivi di fascia medio bassa ma questo prodotto costa al momento 249 euro a prezzo pieno, cifra che, nonostante le tante cose che offre, mi sembra comunque sproporzionata di almeno 100euro (parere personale basato su esperienza con prodotto analogo).Concludiamo. Ottimo prodotto davvero. Tante possibilità di carica. uscite a 12 e 8 volt che non si trovano facilmente, porta + bretellina d-tap. Monitoraggio display + app. Possibilità di aggangio rapito su supporti specifici. Vale 250? Secondo me qualcosa meno.

Batteria fondamentale per chi vuole fare foto o video senza preoccuparsi della carica.Un po’ pesante (con la staffa di fissaggio, non in dotazione, supera i 700 gr).Ma lo sforzo è ripagato dalla garanzia di ore di riprese.Confezionata in una splendida scatola che la protegge, ha in dotazione anche i cavi di collegamento.Minimale ma funzionale il display oled.
