My 74 bug always sputtered a little in 3rd and 4th acceleration. Upgrading to this 37 pict instead of the standard 34 was well worth the money. It runs great now.

Carburetor worked as it should right out of the box. Installed the two supplied mounting studs. Removed old gasket and installed new supplied gasket. Connected solenoid,electric choke and vacuum line to distributer. Turned engine over to fill up new supplied fuel filter. Once carburetor bowl was full,engine fired right up and idled perfect. Nice product and NO issues with installation. Will purchase more.

Bolt size will not fit , look at picture of original vs what was sent and Amazon said would fit … don’t waste your money and time

I had the carburetor installed by the master. He said the reaction was good, the settings were working. I would like to say that it is definitely better than the old carburetor in the use after installation, the gas reaction, the smooth stop at idle, the vehicle offers an agile and enjoyable driving experience by asking for more gas as you press the gas. One of the best among the available Chinese carburetors.

Direct replacement, no need to change hoses, wires or anything. I bolted it in, hooked up fuel line, throttle, choke wire and idle valve wire. The VW started immidiately and needed very minor adjustment to Idle speed and mixture. The truth is: I really didn't need to make the adjustments, it worked that well! Thanks for making my VW project so easy and and without frustration.....

Forgot to match up base from old one, bolted on and started right up, vacuum leak and all!!Removed the large base plate, bolted back on and purrs like a kitten, no adjustment needed. Awesome value and works as expected.When you purchase one, compare the base to your original one, then you will know if you can bolt on, or have to use small base on carb before you install Take distributor cap off and move out of way, makes easier getting to back bolt on carburetor.

Didn’t look like much out of the box, very light and I had to run a tap through mounting holes because of poor machining. But WOW once installed she ran great right off the bat. I run 009 distributor so had to richen mixture screw about 1/4 turn and lost my ‘flat spot’. Only had 3 weeks, maybe 200 miles so don’t know about longevity but for $70 this will get you back on the road. Installed on mostly stock 1600 dual port VW.
