Good solid shoes and have enough give to fit into tight fins.

These boots are everything I was looking for and more. I go sea glass hunting on beaches all over the world, which means walking on all kinds of beaches. In addition to getting wet, some of the water I walk through is quite cold. These boots keep the water completely out unless I go deep enough for the water to over over the top. Once in, the water keeps my feet warm. They are comfortable enough to walk miles on dry beaches, as well as protect my ankles from being pelted by rocks in the waves. They have amazing grip and saved me while scaling down a cliff to get to a beach. They didn't slip once on the dry rock face. They are also very easy to get on and off. I will never use anything else!

Exactly what I was hoping for. I needed a pair of shoes for a couple weeks of field work in the marshes of Louisiana, and I don't think I could have asked for something better than these. They successfully (1) stayed on my feet, even when walking knee-deep in mud, (2) were comfortable in and out of the water, (3) had good traction on the boat, and (4) dried completely by the next day for use again. Will be strongly recommending these to my colleagues.Other details: I typically wear an 11.5 shoe, and I rounded down to an 11 to make sure they wouldn't slide off my feet (I actually returned a pair of the 12's just to be sure), and I think that was probably the right size. The toe-box felt a bit small the first couple times I wore 'em, but I either broke them in or just got used to it, because that stopped bothering me after day 2. I bought the 5mm for durability, and even in August in Louisiana they weren't too warm (granted, they were usually wet, which helps). I almost always wore them with some of those lycra diving socks (the Bren SL ones, also on Amazon), which I think increased the comfort a lot, so I recommend others do the same if their application is similar. My only other pro-tip would be to keep a pair of flip-flops with you. These dry quickly, but not *that* quickly, so it was nice to have some extra faster-drying shoes for the boat/drive back home.

I bought these to use for wade fishing. I wanted something that came up a bit higher than standard water shoes. These are awesome! I am so happy I bought them. They were super easy to get on - good zipper, with a nice, extended opening, so you can get your foot in and out with ease! Then they zip up super quick and they have a Velcro tab that will prevent the zipper from coming unzipped until you are ready to remove them. They fit great! The recommended sizing was perfect. I am female, and they recommended one size down from your normal size, which was just right for me. Note - they are not waterproof, as far as hugging your ankle or anything if worn alone (no wetsuit), as I am doing. But, for my purpose, I do not care. I wanted to keep sand and such out of my shoes, and these do that well. With regular water shoes, I always had sand in my shoes. With these, I do not, and my feet/ankles are protected. They are comfortable and easy to walk in, both in and out of the water. I am very pleased with these, and they are now my standard footwear for wade fishing.

The boots came super quick. Fit perfectly and I have pretty wide feet. Used them 4 days already and can't believe how dry you stay. Way better than some of the other neoprene booties out there. just buy!

Quality very good. Better than expected. Rigth size. My feet feels comfortable. It serves for rocky soil.

I wear these over fishing waders, and they worked well for my needs. Kept my feet warm in 35-40 degree water, and had decent traction, I didn't slip on any rocks. Originally got size 11 as that's my normal shoe size even though my foot is 10.5. With bare feet it was perfect. A bit tight with waders and wool socks, but I could've made it work. I ended up getting size 12 to be safe since I didn't want cramped feet over longer periods of time, and glad I did. If wearing waders, go a size bigger than your typical size. It is still usable with my bare feet, just a little loose. The only complaint I have is that the water doesn't leave the shoe. When under water it doesn't matter, and it didn't really bother me with waders on, it was pretty much extra cushion. I could see it being annoying with bare feet though. However you could just drain them once on shore. Also I bought the size 12 pair used, and you wouldn't know it besides a speck of dirt here and there.

I'm very happy with these, which I got to wear with waders when I'm cleaning my fish pond. I have very narrow (AAA) feet, and usually wear a woman's 8.5. The waders that I wear these with have built in neoprene booties that are normally intended to go under fishing boots. But fishing boots are a bad choice for cleaning a goldfish pond. The wader booties have no tread, and would be extremely hazardous if I wore them alone. I just wanted something waterproof, with enough tread to help me keep from slipping. These fit the bill. I reallly struggled with which size to choose since my feet are extremely narrow but the wader booties are thick and very loose on my foot. After reading many reviews I went with the 8 (which is a women's 9). When I first tried them on over the booties, I thought I might need to exchange them for a larger size because tthey were hard to zip up and they made the bootie neoprene pull against my toes. But I figured that for the hour or so I spend cleaning my fish pond I could tolerate slightly uncomfortable footwear. I was happily surprised, therefore, when I got in the water and both sets of neoprene footwear expanded and relaxed. My feet were completely comfortable. A larger size would have been too large. As another reviewer pointed out, nothing will save you from smooth, algae-covered surfaces, so I avoided stepping on those rocks. But for large rocks that were algae free, and the smaller river rock pebbles on the bottom of the pond, the tread held me safe and secure. Because these were completely submerged while I was working I did get some water intrusion, but it didn't matter because of the neoprene booties beneath. To clean these you just rinse them out with water and hang tthem up to dry.
