Great product. Good to create your own wick. Pairs well with the metal holders from the same brand. Keep in mind which size you need medium or large depending on the glass/container you use.

I have an oil lamp Hanukkiah. The wicks burned out within 3 minutes. I'm very disappointed.

At first I wanted the gels because they promised that they would be less messy. In reality, there is almost no mess with those wicks and olive oil. The gels are messy because they are oily anyway and also they rarely fit perfectly into the chanukkiot made to work with oil, so they are unstable at best.

These are amazingly long lasting wicks. I'm 25 hours into burning the first one and it is still going. They are smokeless and very absorbent.The negative ratings are due to the wrong application. When used in a Jewish palm oil lamp, these wicks are incredible. They are about fourinches long and very delicate. They need to be rolled between the hands just a little to be able to insert them into a lamp. They are perfect forthe correct application. I will definitely purchase more if I ever run out.

These wicks were adequate for my needs. They burned well, but were very fragile and a bit difficult to work with. therefore, 4 stars instead of 5.
