Solid build quality, a bit hard to keep in place depending on your suspension. Wedging the bars up against a lock nut or something else helps a lot, but you still might smack yourself in the face if you pull off-axis.Be careful to use a newer 1/2" breaker bar if possible, as the socket tolerances are a little loose and an older breaker bar with a worn down square drive might have a chance to strip this, esp the 8-point.

Good theory, but doesnt work. First of all, the slot for th ratchet easily strips. Should be made stronger for a tool that is meant to be pryd on. Also, it just doesn't do a good job at providing leverage.

It's a pry tool. It's not very complicated and performs the task at hand. The paint looks good and it feels like a decent tool.Would recommend if you need something like this.

This tool is built stout and designed to be fairly versatile for a wide range of applications. The inclusion of 2 separate engagement holes for 1/2" drive, 1 square and one 12 point for multiple installation options for a 1/2" drive square head are very nice. When you combine this with a ratcheting 1/2" drive breaker bar it give you damn near unlimited angles of attack to pry the lower control arm down and out of your way while on a lift or on jack stands in the driveway. This tool is a must for independent suspension while changing ball joints or just needing to disconnect them because you can put pressure on the tapered joint much safer while avoiding slide off of a pry bar and swinging a hammer to shock and "break" the taper.

This is a great tool to have for any mechanic. If you have ever found yourself trying to separate a lower ball joint on the control arm from the hub and you were struggling to fight the bushings, here is your solution. This is heavy duty and has a square hole for a 1/2" breaker bar. Even if it is something you will only tackle once in a while, this is a worthwhile investment!

A solid and easy to use prying tool for lower control arms. I have found it to work for a lot of other prying needs as well, easily pulling down torsion bars, and prying ladder bars into their pins. The tool is well made and has a good pin length to securely grab the part you are prying on. The dual 1/2" drive fitting's allow for use at most any angle and lets me get into tighter places than I imagined. A great prying tool.

This little tool works pretty good, but there is a chance of twisting and slippage. That being said, if you're careful, this little guy lends a helping hand. I use this on lower control arms when I need just a bit more clearance, I won't use something like this if I have to apply a lot of pressure. Makes it easy when servicing or installing suspension components. The tool is fairly heavy duty steel, and the leverage fingers are welded on, the design is symmetrical, so it can be used orientated to the left or right side, and the smaller profile size allows it to fit in areas with limited space. There are two leverage points to connect a 1/2" drive breaker bar or long ratchet. As long as the tool is stable on the arm and has good bite, it does a good job helping to pry down the control arms. This tool works pretty good for most applications, works much better than the s-hook design. But for heavy duty stuff I like to use the giant bluepoint leverage bar. In most cases, this little Y shaped leverage tool is all I need.Good price for a nice little tool, for quality and works great! A+

I ordered this tool to keep in my tool chest for the next time I need to replace a lower control arm. I do a lot of my own vehicle maintenance and when I find a specialty tool that is designed to make a task easier, I like to add it to my collection. For lower control arm work, I typically use a couple of pry bars in judicious positions between the control arm and the vehicle frame. This requires some creativity and sometimes some contortion or a helping third hand. I can see where this tool will provide more options to allow me to work alone to get the job done.I tried lining up the tool on two of my cars to see how it would perform if I needed to replace a control arm. I can see how it would provide additional leverage to make the job easier. The tool is solid steel with welded lever pins. At $29, this tool will pay for itself the first time I use it.
