After over a year installed, it still works good keeping the start battery charged when engine running.

Fit like new, mower works fine. I repaired several wires and replaced this part all at the same time so not sure if this was the fix or just an unnecessary part. Good thing was it was cheap and an exact fit that is working fine.

I have a 1980's John Deere with an Onan engine. The battery wouldn't charge and I feared it was the stator. I tried this and it fixed the charging problem. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I used this on an Onan E140V on a 1991 Toro 244-5 Lawn Tractor. My only gripe is that it's not exactly as pictured. The picture shows an aluminum housing exactly like the OEM unit; what I received is chrome plated. That said however, it's cheap and works, which is really what counts. Also the terminals aren't marked (the OEM had letters stamped into them). The two outside terminals are "AC" and connect to the alternator. The middle terminal is "B" and connects to the battery. I only have about 1 hour of use on it, so hopefully it holds up long term.

The picture shows an OEM or Stens unit. This is a run of the mill made in China unit that has a different casting, it's chrome plated, and has no terminal ID.They both have been tested and work so I guess I will keep them.Very deceptive as only the OEM and Stens units look like this...

This rectifier regulator works perfectly. I actually installed it on a Kohler engine that I was having trouble getting a good regulator for. The new regulators that I purchased either didn't work or burned out after 1/2 hour of use. It took a very small modification and then fit perfectly, even the connector fit. It regulates the voltage accurately to 14.4 volts and is rated at over twice the current of the Kohler regulator. AC from the magneto output of the flywheel goes to the two outer connectors. DC+ to the battery is connected to the center connector and DC- to the battery is the metal cover of the regulator (frame ground).

I was a little hesitant, only because my mower puts out 40 amps? But I received the Regulator, and put it in, did all the tests, and it works GREAT! The battery even charges at an idle with no lights on, and as long as the mower is running at high R.P.Ms. it will not over charge! A lot better than spending $90.00 on the O.E.M. part.
