This is such a cute little set. It would make a terrific gift for a beginner or kid, though the instructions are not great and you should probably expect to check out some YouTube videos to see how to do all the things. It is a very nice kit, though and the tools are all nice quality. I feel like it's a good value and it's a lot of fun. I'm really glad I got it.

This felting kit is perfect for a gift to a beginner. It comes in an adorable box that is reusable. The instructions were easy to understand and the activity was fun and calming. Good for preteens and up. My 11 y.o. enjoyed the activity and was able to teach herself off of the instructions.

I got this because it claims it's a starter kit. Except it really kind of isn't because it doesn't explain ANYTHING well. "Take this and felt it" is about as helpful as "fold in the cheese" when you don't know what it means - I can't learn to felt things when you don't really explain how to do that. Poke with a needle is not sufficient instruction on the process, I had to go digging online for better instructions just to learn the basics of how to make sure I'm forming things correctly.Then there's the video instructions, which you can't really access without using the QR code, which is obnoxious because it means I have to do it on my phone, which isn't helpful. If I need to follow a video to make something, I'd rather not have it on the tiny screen of my phone.The ruler in the instructions booklet is printed wrong in scaling. It's marked to go to 14cm, but each measured cm is actually short by about 0.05cm or so. I checked it against multiple rulers I have to confirm that. So I'm still not sure if things are really sized right because it's unclear whether they just don't know how to measure and wanted things measured against their poorly sized ruler to fix that, or if that's just a printing error on the booklet and things are supposed to follow the actual listed measurements.

My 14 year old usually doesn’t have the patience for crafting. She is enjoying felting. She actually loves it so much. She says it’s relaxing. This is her first set and her very first project. The instructions were easy to follow. The protective finger covers were a little odd. They were connected and my daughter liked them better separated. The needles can be a little tricky to switch out sometimes for her. I’m sure over time we will switch out supplies to better quality ones but this is a great beginner set. My daughter is excited to work on her next project.

I have never felted before but have wanted to add it to our homeschool routine. This kit is perfect for a beginner like me. The instruction manuals give great details and have lots of pictures. They also have QR codes for videos of instruction. The print in them are quite small and I have 20/20 vision. That being said I didn’t have any difficulties reading or examining the pictures but I could certainly see how others might struggle with it. The kit comes with quite a few needles and they are very sharp so the age for this would be higher for independent use; with supervision though kids as young as five could make some of the projects. At that young of an age I would say the projects might have to be done in sessions depending on the attention span of the child. This is also a very gift-able item. It comes in an adorable little box with faux leather and a handle, it also has a couple of magnets for closing. In one of the instruction booklets it shows hand carders, which briefly led me to believe they might be included but they are not, which is fine. Overall I am thrilled with this product.

I've been doing a little searching lately trying to find new things to do as an outlet for me to enjoy. I've seen these and wanted to try it out but wanted to make sure it was something I'd actually keep and not just make and toss it. I love anything plants so I knew this was it. Right off the bat the box is very (& I mean very) weird. It doesn't make sense at all with the product. A plain box would've sufficed or even just the rose box it came in without all the extras and weird sayings and words- like what in the world. It does smell musty and weird. Maybe it's just the wool? I dunno... however upon opening it is VERY overwhelming as a beginner. Looking at the book your just like how in the world will I ever accomplish this?? The instructions are sub par. I ended up just looking for videos online to teach me and using my judgment for the rest. I'm excited to get one of these done. I'll post a photo when I do. They are all so cute- hopefully they'll be just as cute after I'm done lol because of course I'm drawn to the more difficult looking ones. I do think kids would enjoy it. My teen wants to do it also. I don't think it'd be for any age less than a teen though. The price point seems high, considering the box is horrible so basically paying for what's inside and it just doesn't seem to be enough for the price. But nevertheless seems fun!

This NFAMRZCAR Needle Felting Starter Kit,Needle Felting Kit Cute Plant Needle Felting Kit is a fun place to start as a beginner. You have the basics of what you need and some decent instructions. The videos were more helpful than the booklets, but you can only get to them via QR code which is a pain if you want to watch the videos on your computer and not your phone.I found the information background about felting in the one booklet interesting, but somewhat repetitive to the other booklet. Both talk about various supplies you might have but it can be a bit confusing at first because it doesn't identify what parts are included with the kit and what isn't so you have to figure it out. It's not hard, but it was initially confusing.The needle holder is pretty easy to use but can get a bit jammed after using it a while. Some pliers to get a better grip to pull and twist it back out work well.Overall, decent kit. Cute presentation. Decent quality for a starter/beginner felting kit. I look forward to completing more of them.
