I use this to clean the jewels on my watches with sensitive parts that are secured with shellac, & which also can't go into an ultrasonic cleaner. Also for hairsprings. It's a powerful solvent & does the job. Way cheaper than traditional One Dip.It evaporates quickly, so transfer it to a smaller jar that seals well. Seal immediately, as this stuff will evaporate in minutes. Use good ventilation, & avoid skin contact. It will also eat latex gloves, so avoid contact with those as well, or change them after use.
