NICHE DRIVE SPROCKET

OEM MPN's: 519-KCS1369K-K001

What is a Drive Sprocket?

  • Sprockets are rotating parts with teeth that are used in conjunction with a chain to transmit power
  • In order for sprockets and chain to be compatible with each other they must both have the same thickness and pitch.
  • In order for the sprockets and chain to work effectively, all of the sprockets should be on parallel shafts with their corresponding teeth on the same plane.

OEM MPN's: 519-KCS1369K-K001

Parts of a Sprocket

  • Number of Teeth - The total number of teeth (projections) around the whole circumference of a sprocket
  • Pitch Diameter (PD) - An imaginary circle which is traced by the center of the chain pins when the sprocket rotates while meshed with a chain
  • Pitch - The amount of pitch diameter in inches per tooth. Gears with a larger pitch will have bigger teeth

OEM MPN's: 519-KCS1338K-K001

When to Replace?

  • Check how well the chain meshes with the sprocket teeth. In a healthy chain and sprocket combo, the individual chain rollers align perfectly with the spaces between the sprocket teeth and fit down into those U-shaped grooves evenly
  • Look closely at the sprocket teeth to see if they have become sharp at the tips and/or slightly curled. The teeth on a new sprocket are straight and have a flat or domed shape at the tip, If the teeth are sharp, the sprocket is worn

  • Don't let chain maintenance slip past you, a broken chain will ruin anyone's riding day. Stay on top of your lubrication and cleaning practices
  • Replaces chain immediately if it comes in contact with the battery acid. Clean your chain if it comes in contact with salt water or rock salt and lubricate it after cleaning.
  • Do not use harsh solvents or chemicals such as Benzene to clean your chain. We recommend lubricating your chain at every 300-350 miles with a lubricant specifically designed for your chain.

Drive chain should only be installed by a certified professional. If unsure, please contact the vehicle manufacture or a local dealer.

Time will tell on durability and I will update if needed but the kit is a perfect replacement for my 2006 ZZR600.Sprockets were 100% correct as original and the chain feels as solid as the one that came off the bike.Just the right amount of links to the chain.A-1 on the parts swapYou will need a 27mm deep socket to get the nut off of the front sprocket and block the wheel so it does not turn. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BIKE IN GEAR TO STOP THE SPROCKET FROM TURNING!The rear sprocket nuts are 14mmThere are videos online to see about the removal process but if you can turn a wrench at all, you can do this job.Either get a chain breaker to remove your old chain or cut it off with a Dremel or small grinder if it’s not the kind with a master link.Chain came with a small tube of lube that was enough to get into the links. It’s thick and heavy stuff so should work out fine if you use it (I did).I expect to need to tighten the chain in 500 to 1000 kms because it’s new and will have an initial stretch. Hopefully it stops a lot of stretch after that.I’ll update this post if need be but right now all seems good and I am satisfied.

so far so good, looks great didn’t need the sprockets yet so don’t know how well those are made but do feel sturdy, chain fit perfectly 2007 Kawasaki zzr600 (zx600j) was hesitant on buying because i never heard of the brand hardly any reviews and was pretty cheap if something happens in the next 100-1000 miles i’ll update reviewUpdate: compared to OEM its not good OEM lasted me 18,000 miles this one lasted 2,000 miles first 1k were fine needed adjustment after 600 miles which was normal but every 100 miles after that the chain just keeps stretching and stretching its officially reached the end of the tensioning bolts max, i assume its due the tensile strength below 9k pounds is just not enough. with that said i probably wont be using the sprockets it came with if the chain was weak they must be weak as well and wont be risking it. good thing is that it didnt break and cause an accident ill give it that but always do your safety checks
