NICHE Rocker Arm

A rocker arm is a mechanical linkage inside a engine responsible for driving the movement of the intake and exhaust valves when the camshaft is in motion. When the camshaft is in motion the rocker arm will lower one of its to sides to allow both fuel and air to flow throughout the engine.

Some Types of Rocker Arms:

  • Stamped Steel Rocker Arms are the most common. They use a basic nut with a rounded bottom to hold the pivot of the rocker arm in place.
  • Full Roller Rocker Arms replace the pivot with bearings. They do not use the same rounded nut. The bearings are bolted in place and allow the rocker to pivot.
  • End Pivot Rocker Arms have their pivot located at the ends of the rocker arms. The camshaft is instead mounted in the center to push the ends.
