I am a business owner and sell products that are large and in need of strapping. I have used Grainger Supply's version of this kit as well as U-Line's. I ordered this over a year ago when I thought I was about to run out of strapping. I WISH I had opened this when it arrived but, unfortunately, I did not. If I had, it would have been returned immediately. So on to my saga and the meat of this review:Recently, I shipped a large musical instrument together with a speaker and had arranged to fly to the location to help with assembly and commissioning when I learned that one of the speakers had been damaged in transit. I had another speaker sent express and decided to take some strapping materials with me so I could repack the speaker and return it via freight. Since I was flying, I pre-cut six straps and grabbed 7 buckles rather than to take the whole kit. It was when we set about strapping the speaker box shut and strapping it to the pallet that I discovered the absolute LACK OF QUALITY in the buckles. Half of my straps ended up being shredded and sliced lengthwise as we tried tightening the straps. If you look at the photos you will see why. Well OVER HALF of the buckles are really NOT USABLE. The ends of each buckle should be at least as long as the ones at the top of the first photo. You will see that I looped a section of strap around so that you can see where the end of the buckle is in relation to the strap. The strap cannot get over the end of the buckle and be cut...but only on the top buckle. Look at the others. That short end acts as an awl and cuts the strap. That speaker I repacked arrived back here with 3 of the 6 straps broken because of this lack of quality. Notice, too, how dirty my hand is from just handling these. In the other kits I have used there is no black oxide to get all over your hands. This kit is junk. It truly is. I have never reviewed a product before in such a negative way. As it is, the kit is usable but I have to go through and sort the buckles. No doubt I will end up with about a third that are usable. Those I will wash in paint thinner to get rid of the black. I will then look to find a source for quality buckles. In the end, I will have spent considerably more than if I had just paid top dollar for a top brand. Buyer beware.Cliff

I kept having issues getting the brand new product to spool out. Opened the box to find a significant amount wrapped and pushed in the center of the spool. It was obviously done by whoever spooked it. This will be returned. I would highly discourage anyone from buying this crap!

We had to ship some goods by a freighter to the South Pacific. Everything had to be strapped and tied. Use this stuff and there are no regrets just an incredible product does exactly as it's intended.

This banding system works well to secure large packages. It helps strengthen the boxes reducing risk of punch through due to shifting heavy contents (even with careful internal foam or board reinforcement). The 3000ft of fiber box came with a sub box of crimp clamps. That was nice but I got another box to cover my planned long term use. The tensioning tool and band clamp crimping tools are a must! GR8 value Instant intrusion detection & also keeps shipping staff or others out of the contents!

1st off let me say we love this product. We ship large amounts of electronics all across the country and this is some of the best banding we've used. For the price point it is a very good product and even has a little bit of stretch when your as you tighten which is definitely a good thing allows you to get a tighter dand on the pallet. The only issue I have with this product and it's not a big one is the way it's packaged all the shipping clips are in the top of the Box which isn't a major issue until someone forgets the close the lid and carries the Box thus spelling all the clips. We have found the easiest remedy to this is a one gallon ziploc bag to store the clips in and problem solved. Definitely if you're shipping product this is a must have.

We used this product to fix our hide-a-bed in our trailer when one of the straps snapped. Bought this one because the smaller Duck Brand strapping kit didn't look sturdy enough and the reviews mentioned the same. So now we have more strapping than we need, but you never know when we might need good strapping. It was cheap to fix the sofa bed though so am very happy with it. The metal buckles are excellent.

Get rid of packing tape for moving boxes. This system is so much stronger and less expensive to use instead of expensive tape guns. Takes about 2 minutes to figure out, but good directions.

Once you figure out how to use the clips, this works really great and does a great job of sealing the boxes. Unfortunately the diagram that shows how to use the clips is almost useless and it did not help that someone stuck a UPC label in the middle of the diagrams making them impossible to see.I would purchase this item again as it does a good job. They just need better directions.

I have never used these before but after this purchase I have to say they are great. I went to YouTube and watched a video to see how to latch them up and then started using them. They actually go on pretty quick. The tool they supply is necessary and actually works. Make sure you leave excess material so you have enough to pull tight (6 inches on one side and 16 inches on the side you use the tool on).

I bought the strapping and tensioner. The tensioner was cracked. I sent the supplier a one and a few days later I got a new one. I must say the instructions are awful but the system works really well and is easy to use.Go to YouTube for correct instructions. Great product and service!
