5 months and the Security camera suddenly didn’t have the live view anymore . I tried all the reboots, power on and off, get new app, factory reset and so on. The app no longer had features like settings, where I could try something different, even once I deleted and got a new app, same thing. Worst camera I’ve ever had. Even when it did work, I don’t think it picked up half of what was going on in my yard at night.

The product works great. I thought it would be all wifi and no plug in to outlets for electrical power. Ease of use. I guess the value was good for. Motion and picture quality ver good.

I received my 2 Night Owl cameras and I’ve been trying to set them up for a week now and still not connecting to the network. I also wasted an hour talking to their Tech Support and still doesn’t work! If you are in the market for a security cameraDO NOT BIY THIS ONE! And don’t buy anything from Night Owl as they are worthless!!!

Connectivity is horrible. I’ve managed to make it to the firmware update screen twice but says error and cancels. Thought night owl was a name brand company but turns out to be junk.

I bought this stand alone camera because my existing system didn’t have any more inputs available for two way audio and I wanted to monitor my dog kennel that’s located in the back of my yard that I can’t see from the house. I have a pole building nearby that had an extended router in it. I also had a plug already in the kennel so I mounted the camera inside the kennel and connected to my wifi, setup was very easy . Have been using it for a few weeks and has been working great so far. I installed a 64gb sd card for recording and that is working fine. I already had the night owl protect app because my other system is also Night Owl. Very satisfied so far. Don’t know about customer support because I’ve never had to call them. Not sure how far this camera will reach to router because mine is pretty close. Will buy this again if I need another camera somewhere. Would highly recommend this product.

This camera is easy to set up with simple scan of device bar code & instruction book icon. Incredible 4K quality. Attached easily to my smart phone with WiFi connection and Night Owl protect software App. Affordably priced & no need for optional monitoring plan. Easy 110v plug in. The hardest install part for me was drilling through the wall for my particular install.
