These things would be great if you just took your rifle to the range once a month. I bought two pairs of these for a nightforce NX8. Two because I gave them the benefit of the doubt when the first set sucked and ordered another one, the second set sucked as well. These are not worth the price. If you are gonna spend the money, I recommend Aadland Engineering. Similar price, much better caps.

I didn't have much clearance between the bottom of the scope objective and the rifle barrel. A Butler Creek scope cover was a bit too big and wouldn't clear. I maybe could have taken some material off of the bottom of the Butler Creek cover, but maye not. I did not want to go with a taller base/ring. The Nightforce front objective cover does not add to the overall diameter of the scope. The $50 is overpriced, but it is cheaper than purchasing taller bases and rings. It works as advertise - opens and closes crisply & quietly.

I purchased this for my Nightforce scope and it was everything I expected for a Nightforce product. Very well made and a secure fit on the scope. A little spendy but in this case you get what you pay for.

Good cap nothing fancy. Negatives is price, positive is the aluminum threaded piece threads into scope then the cap piece snaps into that, better looking then a slide over scope cap. I have the SHV 4-14x 50mm F1 for the rear I got a butler creek cap size 1.730 an it fit perfect, rear of scope measured with calipers is 1.720.
