These are definitely brighter than the halogen 921 bulbs they replaced. The extra clarity is welcome when viewing the backup camera in my work van (less than 1 yr old), which tends to blur things together in dark areas at night. I was hoping these LEDs would consume just enough power to avoid any messages on the dash, but alas no. I still get a "reverse light out" message whenever I start the vehicle. I don't really mind, but this means I can't use these bulbs in any of our rental vans. Which in a sense is ridiculous, because they clearly work! WTF, LED bulbs are the future, and auto makers need to update their stuff to work with this new reality.

These bulbs are definitely brighter than the ones I replaced them with, but I would have to say they are not the brightest. Still, they are a huge improvement over the old standard bulbs. I like the nice clean white light! They are easy to install as well. As far as longevity, they are still going now, so we shall see. Overall, a good product, and I would recommend these bulbs.

I bought these backup LEDs for my truck to replace the ones I had purchased a short time ago.The previous set caused extreme interference with my factory backup camera and made the picture so snowy it was useless for backing up. They also got very hot, and had pigtails that connected the LEDs to the truck side of the connector. Not typical, and possibly prone to corrosion.I took a chance that these LEDs would not give me the camera interference the old ones did.When I swapped out the previous set for these LEDs I checked the backup camera screen and not a snowflake in sight. So, test #1 - Success.The other question was whether these new LEDs would be as bright as the previous set.Picture #1 shows the view behind my truck with the previous set of LEDs. Very bright.Picture #2 shows these new LEDs, same view behind my truck. To me they look just as bright, if not brighter.So, test #2 - Also success.These new LEDs also mount directly into the truck side of the connector, rather than having a pigtail connector. Now I can be confident the connectors will not corrode by being exposed to moisture.I have also been using these new LEDs for about 6 weeks with no issues. I expect these LEDS to outlast my truck. I would buy more of this brand and style of LED for any vehicles I own. I'm very happy with my purchase.
