I bought this for a shield plus (yes, I know this is not made for shield plus). This was loose on the shield plus (was falling out). I lightly heated this with a heat gun, carefully inserted a large flat head screw driver into the heated part in order for the screw driver head to expand the bottom part that inserts into the cavity. I let the part cool down for 60 seconds while pressing the screwdriver along with the part into a piece of wood (the plastic was trying to slip off the screwdriver while cooling). With the bottom slightly permanently expanded, this fits into a shield plus like a glove. Looks super nice (as if it came installed from the factory). Highly recommended.

The insert took some effort to press into the handle, but that is a good thing. I do not have to worry about it coming out.

Was hard to get to fit flush,had to push it on the counter and put my weight on it (I hope I never have to take it out now lol). I did notice that it is a little harder to get the smaller mag out but I’m just being picky,as for the mag that holds 1 more round,it is harder to get out but easily doable and not like it’s stuck,just snug.Only issue I see is if you want the mag to just drop out on its own when the release is pressed,that won’t happen,have to manually pull the mag out.all small things especially since I carry with the smaller mag.Worth the price

The cap fits the gun perfectly but it makes the 8 round magazine too tight
