Appears to be solid brass, threads look good, just what you need for HVAC purging. I don't have a second pressure/flow gauge to verify accuracy, but this gets the job done for a lot less money than other branded units.

I am somewhat of an aspiring refrigeration mechanic. Nitrogen is widely used in refrigeration work as a purging agent and to prevent scale formation when brazing copper refrigerant lines.When I first opened the box containing this regulator, I was impressed by several things:It was very well packed in a foam cube which was inside a reasonably sturdy cardboard box.It had a great appearance: Shiny brass throughout.The well-armored gauges were boldly marked and easy to read.Its heft was impressive and gave me a sense of quality.Also, it operates smoothly.
