This stand is so simple and easy to use compared to a normal one with 2 clamps on 2 rods. This is much quicker to adjust and is very sturdy with the strong magnet. It is a little larger than I expected but it hasn't been an issue because of all the ways it can be positioned. I work in a repair shop and often use it to check endplay on gears or shafts. I purchased just the base and used the dial indicator I had with my other base and it fit good.

This sucker is legit! Doesn't stick to sheet metal very good though, it's too heavy for that. I need to make a can holder for it......

Very flexible with one knob to tighten all joints simultaneously. Universal indicator holder has a fine adjustment and holds most of my indicators except the lug back ones. Magnet is strong enough to provide a firm grip. But if you're buying this you're probably a machinist so it's a quick job to knock out an adapter. Might be a nice addition if Noga would include a lug back to 1/4" post adapter to the universal holder. Wouldn't add much to the cost.
