The LG24 is the perfect companion to my stock LG30 coil. The LG30 is obviously better for covering large areas quickly and gives you about 2 inches (15%) more depth. But in working smaller areas and when targets are plentiful and close together the LG24 is the go to choice. Better separation. Easier to pinpoint. And a much lighter coil to swing. I ordered an extra lower shaft, so swapping back and forth between the two coils is easy.Update: Went to a small area in a park where I had picked up about 60 coins with the LG30 a week ago. Returned today and was able to find 30 more coins in the same area that I thought I had already gotten all the high tones. This is a super little coil!

It goes deeper than the LG15 and still has good separation for targets. With V1.15 and using deep target I found new things in "hunted out" spots.

This is now my favorite coil for metal detecting. My LG-35 coil kills my arm after a few hours (it's heavy). This one, however, gives me more time before I start to feel it. It is also much easier to pin-point targets with. You only give-up a little depth when changing from the 35, as well as not covering as much area in a sweep. But, to me, it is worth it to switch over (unless I'm in a large, plowed field).

This is my main coil for my Legend. I have the LG30 and the LG15.Everything about this coil is perfect. Separation, pinpointing and weight.The main reason I went with this coil is the weight savings. After several hours with the LG30, my arm would get tired. I am able to go twice as long with this coil.

Awesome Coil ! No regrets!What a great Search Coil!! The best of both worlds. Separation is amazing. Covers more area faster that the LG15 six inch coil. And far easier to pinpoint with than the stock LG28 larger Coil.You will not regret getting this. My coin finds have doubled! ( I only use coin programs )
