This pedal will wear out your tendons rapidly. At this price it should offer adjustable pressure, or at least a pressure similar to that of acoustic piano pedals. It does neither. This is a 'high-quality' - 'bad design' product. Nord, of all companies, should ensure that a pedal this expensive is similar to those on actual pianos in terms of the pressure necessary to activate it. I bought one with my Nord Piano 5. Absolute nightmare to use. Extremely disapponting.

The item itself is what it says, but it's clearly used, despite being marked as 'new'. Dirty, cracked, and with no manual and not even the proper screws. The box is also very dirty and destroyed, but with a big 'new' sticker on it. Don't recommend taking a chance on it, certainly not for such an expensive item.

I have purchased the pedal and Nord Stage 4 at the same time. In general, I would expect for this high-end and very expensive equipment to be plug-and-play. Or at least, the pedal should come with the instruction manual. But this is not the case:- A a starter, it is not even obvious to where to plug it- The customer support has provided the instruction on plugging it and setting it up.- Following the instructions, I was able to connect it and make it working.- But the half-pedalling does not work. The customer service, instead of providing the clear instructions, pointed me to the manual, but it was not helpful.- Still waiting for the clarifications. But again, at the top of the issue, the manufacture should make it plug-and-play, or should provide the clear instructions.

I used it on my Nord Stage 3 88. Love that thing

Love the product it gives you the feel of using real pedals on a piano. Even the noise from pedal. Just a great feel especially for acoustic piano lovers. Only works on Nord pianos

This has a rubber mat that the user had to attach. The only instructions are to remove the screwed and place the mat under the washers. Then put the screws back in. The screws are too short to go back in, so the rubber mat is essentially useless. So now it slides around. Very disappointing.

It's really expensive in the states, but it is the only choice if you want variable sustain and sustain noise from the Nord. If you spent that much on a keyboard, you might as well spend the extra on the proper pedal. Beware: no other continuous sustain pedal works. You have to choose between on/off only options, or this thing. For example, the Yamaha FC3A does not work. The FC4A does work, but only on/off. Even the standard Nord single pedal that comes with some of their versions is only on/off and won't make pedal noise. I like the attached rubber mat and extra weight. It doesn't slide around on the floor.

Pedals allow real piano control. They weigh more than most electric pedals so they stay stationery. Lighter ones tend to slide around on the flor unless you anchor them. Play a left hand bass line independently controlling sustain with the middle latch peddle while simultaneously using the right pedal to sustain the other assigned instruments completely differently. Chopin loved this pedal and it usually only works (sustaining just bass notes) with really good pianos. The NORD Stage 2 88 keyboard and pedal combination is closer to a real grand piano than any other digital I've felt or heard. Using the middle latch pedal allows real 2 pedal piano control over 2 independently sustained instruments in zones on the keyboard. Add to that more controls regular pianos can't do after a note is sounded but the NORD can like pressing the key you just played a little harder which starts a vibrato to real life sounds, just by changing the pressure of your fingers on the keys.
