This is a really nice item. The design is sleek and modern and just plain looks good. These cellars do what they are supposed to. They hold the perfect amount of bean, and keep them fresh.

These single dose tubes look great on my counter and I love the wooded organizer. However, in practice they are very annoying to fill. The main reason is that there is a significant weight difference between each tube. Some of the tubs have over a 5 gram weight difference between them! Now while you should be taring the scale each time you switch to filling the next tube for the most accuracy, if you forget at all with these tubes you are going to be incredibly off with your dose. I expect The quality control with the product is also subpar, as one of my tubes does not sit flat. For such an expensive product I expect much more

I am a huge Normcore fan and sometimes the high cost of their item is justified and sometimes it isn't...this particular item falls in the latter category.Let's start with the good - modern walnut base, smoked glass tubes to protect beans from light and a one way exhaust valve in the caps. Although, I'm not sure if the valve actually works or it's a gimmick...The not so good...Each tube is a different weight - 102.5g, 102.7g, 103.5g, 103.8g, 104.3g and 105.1g. From a workflow standpoint in getting 6 tubes filled efficiently, this is mildly irritating to say the least. The tubes are advertised at holding 25-28g, but I can barely get 25g in. I have to tap the bottom of each until the beans have settled enough for the lids to fit securely. There's one tube that's slightly smaller than the rest and 25g will not fit no matter what I do.The lids have to be gently/delicately removed otherwise beans spill out when opened. And this is obviously due to the tubes being so full.In conclusion...The annoyance in filling has been slightly offset by the easier workflow for my husband's early morning drip, so there's that!

I love coffee and I prepare it in multiple ways. I have a French press, a pour over coffee maker and a Keurig for when I'm in a hurry. I grind my beans at home (I need to start roasting them myself, but that's for a later date) and it can be annoying when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to grind them and clean up. So, when I grind my beans for a nice French Press or Pour Over cup, I will grind extra to set aside for my Keurig days (I use re-usable k-cups). These are perfect for holding those grounds! The re-usable K-cups only hold a small amount, about 1/2 of one of these cellars. I'm able to measure it out and then quickly fill up my k-cup and make my cup. I know real coffee aficionados will be mortified that I use these for a Keurig machine, but that's ok. These are very nice and seem to keep my grounds fresh. I have no real scientific way to know how well it keeps them fresh but for my needs, it seems to work very well. I grind the beans and the grounds get used within about 4 days. The glass jars are very nice, thick and well made. I like the smoked glass look. The lids pull/push on and off (it's not a screw top) and they don't seem as tight as I expected, but they still remain sealed. The wooden stand holds them securely and looks very nice.My biggest complaint is the price. I do like these a lot, but when I look at them and use them, I seem to be constantly reminded of the $60 price point which I'm not sure is quite justifiable. If these were cheaper, I'd give them a higher rating, but I just can't quite reconcile the high cost with what you get. Unless you are making a cup of espresso or a single serve k-cup, they are too small to hold enough coffee for any other brewing process (unless you use two or more cellars). Now, these ARE for espresso, so they are designed to hold a small amount. They are NOT advertised as coffee cellars, but espresso cellars, so it is expected for them to be small. I'm just saying for the small amount they hold, their usage is limited, and the price point just seems too high.

The glass tubes and caps are well constructed. The wooden base is good. The fit and finish with the tubes in the wooden base is OK at best. Someone a little more handy than me could probably sand or carve out a bit to make the tubes fit a little looser. Other than that, it looks good and keeps the coffee fresh in the tubes.

As expected another Normcore product that is of very high quality. I'm impressed with the wood stand, the design of the bottles, and the finish of everything in this set. I think the aesthetic of these bean cellars fit into the design of any kitchen with their minimalist modern look. I've previously used the Kanso Coffee Bean Vaults which I think were a bit more expensive coming in at $135 for 12 vaults with no stand. I ended up breaking a quarter of those Kanso vaults because the glass was so fragile, I think these Normcore tubes could withstand a short drop onto the countertop though. The glass on these two also looks like its much thicker at the bottom of the vault which may be designed in to provide some fall protection. I will try to report back once I put these through a couple drops.I don't really notice a different in coffee quality after storing in these bottles (with one way exhaust valve) vs just storing in regular containers but I can 100% vouch for the convenience of single dosing beans. I wish these came with more tubes for this price though, I'm a coffee fiend and I also make coffee for my family so 6 vaults doesn't even get me through two days.Overall highly recommended even at this price range because not many companies even offer bean vaults in general at this point.
