They do not connect with pads bought about 3 weeks apart, same color and style. Slightly cut wrong which means you slide across the floor when they pop apart.

These were delivered on Oct 2. They smelled terrible. I tried airing them out in the garage but made the garage smell terrible. Put them outside for a week, washed them down with soap and water, put them shed where they have been since and again washed them with soap and water yesterday. Brought them inside and after two hours inside I came back home and the house smelled. I am throwing them out. Wish I would have just returned them instead of believing they were actually nontoxic or nonsmelling and that airing out would do any good. It won't.UPDATE: It has now been 8 months since we purchased the gray tiles. I stashed them in the outdoor shed and husband found the other day and decided he would use them in the garage. He has a terrible sense of smell and can't smell most things. He even said they smelled and decided to spread them out along side of house to air out. I just got a text from neighbor "can you please move whatever you have beside the fence? It is making our patio and family room smell horrible!" Outdoors they smell too bad for our neighbors.

I ordered these mats to pad our play room. Install was very easy and I was even able to cut one to fit our awkward corner without ruining the integrity of the mat. The padding is thick enough to prevent the scrapes and bumps my son would have gotten on our hardwood floor. I like the modularity and will most likely order some spares.
