The AVOS system is incredibly handy. Not sure why it's sold in a pack of five though - one will last you many years.The sanding discs that are available for it work well on metal and wood. There's the old adage that "sandpaper is not a cutting tool" -- but I don't think those people have seen these AVOS discs. There's just nothing better when you want to refine the shape of a wood curve like a chair back or paddle handle. The other valuable options are the abrasive pads; the pads last a long time and are much more aggressive than you would expect. They are the go-to tool if you need to strip paint or welding splatter from metal.The triangular shape and holes of the pad help you see your work while the disc is spinning. You might not expect that to be a practical feature but it really is helpful.

Yes they worked great a must for Avis speed lock discs.
