At first I thought it was just the shell and rubber buttons but it's a entire fob with the motherboard (plus thr battery). It worked perfectly for my 2006 trailblazer. I just googled how to reset a key fob for my vehicle (very easy process) and it works great. It turned out better than I thought! Works just like my original oem fob.

This replacement FOB worked great for my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. It came with a battery and was very similar quality to the original from the dealership. Please note that you should research the process of activating a FOB before purchasing as this does not come with those instructions. I will even be buying addition units to have on hand as a back up due to the fair price.
