Due to the natural excavation process, lamp shape, color, size and weight may vary. Each item includes a 15-watt bulb pre-installed within the lamp base. Be cautious handling lamp if left on for an extended period of time. The bulb will heat the salt and the surface will become very warm. Cord includes a twisting dimmer knob that functions as a brightness control and on/off switch. When turned on, this lamp will create a relaxing orange glow. It came in a timely fashion, wrapped sturdily and well, fully assembled for me, and I LOVE IT!! I have had many, all the electric cords break, and I sincerely hope that doesn't happen with this one but so far I am in LOVE with it and by this time (almost a week or so), the other's cords had already broken and this one is still going GREAT so yeah. The light brightness choice ranges from very bright to beautifully dim in a really nice gradation, the color is perfect, ranging from bits of pearlescent white on the tips of little crags to mostly the lovely pale-to-medium rose shades that everyone loves a salt lamp for! I wasn't going to, but okay I licked it! Just for this review! Wow! It is EXTREMELY salty! This was a really fantastic price for a bigger lamp and I am so, so pleased, it is EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED IT TO BE! YES!!

I've only had my lamp for a few hours and I love itttt!!! It is a great organic shape, and beautiful orange amber color when lit. I like the dimmer option, but have had it on high all night. It creates a great glow in the part of the living room where I have it, and is a great option whether I use it with another lamp on in the room, or on its own. I know it's only been a few hours, but I really feel like it has created better indoor air quality for breathing, my mood is good, and my nap on the couch was also great. It seems to have an effect on my dog, too, as he seems to be calmer and sleeping really well all night. heheh. The lamp was packaged well, and is ready-to-use, just cut off the plastic wrapping and plug it in. I highly recommend it for the price here. It's aesthetically pleasing and calming. I feel it helps to bring an organic, outdoor refreshing energy to what can be a stale indoor environment, especially this time of year when you can't open your windows as much to get fresh air in. I'm looking forward to enjoying the benefits of this lamp in the long run. :)

I own several salt lamps and have bought several more for my boyfriend. I really like this one! I like the shape and the weight, and the brightness is nice. I like that it has a dimmable switch, as others I have bought just have on/off. All in all this is a great lamp! I will buy more! Oddly enough, I started on the Himalayan pink salt lamp craze by going to a salt room to attempt yet another aide for my ridiculous allergies. I'm not sure that it helped my allergies, however, in my research, I found that it can help with HYPOthyroidism. I did a month unlimited at the salt room and had my thyroid levels checked on the last day. Much to my surprise, my levels were too high (meaning, it helped!) and my doctor was able to lower my medication dose! Hooray! I'm now monitoring my levels to see if they creep back down or stay for a while to see how often I need to go back to the salt room. In the meantime, I'm supplementing by using salt lamps in each room of my house. I also read they can help with EMFs from electronic devices, so I keep one on the nightstand where I keep my cell phone!

I have always wanted to try one of these and I'm so glad I did. We are planning to buy more as Christmas gifts. Some things you may want to know before purchasing:1) The box it comes in is plain cardboard that fits tightly to the lamp - it doesn't look nice - or even particularly sturdy - but the lamp arrived undamaged. I'm still going to ship these directly to our gift recipients, but if you care how nice the box presents, well, this one would dismay you. ;)2) When we first turned ours on, I noticed a lot of dark black/gray spots on the outside of the lamp, like ink transfer or something like that. I think we'll be able to dremel it off, so I kept the lamp. Since receiving ours, I've noticed several lamps on display in stores and a lot of them have the same spots - I'm now wondering if it is the way the rocks are handled in before the lamps are assembled - like the dark is where the rocks rubbed each other. I don't know what causes it, but I thought some people might want to know about this.3) Remember that you are buying a natural stone - every stone is different and not all sides of the stone are as lovely a shape as what is shown in pictures of salt lamps.3.5) This lamp does not come with an extra bulb - I only mention this because it seems that some others do.4) The base of the lamp is as beautiful as shown.5) We love the dimmer/on/off switch!6) I have this on my bedside table as a getting ready for bed lamp. Just last night, I was staying up later than my hub and I told him he didn't have to leave the salt lamp on for me if it bothered him and he said, "No, I like it - it's soothing."7) You can't beat this price for this size of lamp. As I mentioned, I've noticed these on display all over town during my Christmas shopping. None of the prices compare for this large of a lamp, with such a nice base, and a dimmer switch.Overall, I couldn't be happier with this purchase!
