I use this product for cleaning my radiator - there are a few YouTube videos explaining the process - and it does a really good job of breaking down organic stuff (bugs, oil). Just remember to be careful around plastic and electrical parts and follow the manufacturers guidelines and you should be good to go.

You can spray this on the outside of your condenser coil, but to properly clean it you have to remove the top and the fan so that it can be sprayed on the inside. The goal is to wash the coil from the inside out. However it does help clean it even if you wash it from the outside. If your unit is mostly clean and free of bushes and leaves, you wont see the immediate rise in efficiency like you see when you clean your evaporator coil inside the house. But it does what it says in that it cleans the coil well. It does remove the finish on the paint and surface of the unit, and has a very strong odor like lye. It didn't kill the grass around my unit but it did make it turn a little yellowish for a short time.

I sprayed the coils and watched the foam boil out with the dirt...along with some long dark strips of paint which i thought was dirt when I first noticed it.. The product did a great job of cleaning the condenser but I did not realize that the fins were painted. I read on the directions that this particular product should not be used on painted fins...or narrow channel fins. As the paint came off with the foam I watched as the narrow channel fins fold one over the other. I sprayed it off as fast as I could but it was too late. The fins looked as if something had smashed into them and flattened them...not good! The AC still seems to work fine but I am replacing my HVAC system soon anyway so I wasn't too worried about the damage. The company produces the cleaner in lesser strengths so beware if you have narrow channel fins that are painted. Choose one of the company's other products that will not harm your condenser.

I spent 45 minutes completing a detailed review. Probably more useful to any future buyer has left, to help future buyers in making the most important decisions and info for the correct size to order, a major problem in the review and problem with a purchase. After trying to provide a pic to my review, My entire review was lost. I will NOT ever spend or waste my time on reviews. NEVER EVER again. When asked to review a product DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!. You will not be compensated for your time and if the review is lost you will get no compensation from AMAZON.

My vehicles A/C has not been blowing as cold as it used to, but before adding refrigerant, I decided to use the process of elimination to find the source of the problem and adding refrigerant as the very last step, if needed. Fans work, compressor kicks in, and the cabin air filter is clean. I learned that cleaning the condenser is a critical part of a properly working A/C system as any dirt or debris can cause it to malfunction. This product worked great and was very easy to use. One can was good for two cleanings. A/C works better now as more air is able to flow through the coils of the condenser.
