Seeing all the possitive reviews and 5 stars, I wanted to give it a try because I got sold by the glass picher idea. I was so eager to try it and what a disappointment. First of all, I own 5 soy milk maker of all different sizes and different price points. Anything from wellknown brand to the cheapest I could find on Amazon and I will say this is the worst in terms of making soy milk. I even made 2 batches to see if it was user error and 2nd batch was worse than the first.Since soy milk has to cook to a certain temperature to make the soy bean edible otherwise it can be poisonous I tasted my first batch that I can still taste the rawness in my soy milk and the 2nd batch even still has small chunks of soy beans in it not grounded plus the taste was just like the first batch with the raw bitterness. I have to pull out another soy milk of mine to finish it up because I don't want to waste the half made soy milk.Another problem I found with this soy milk maker is the little steam valve keeps coming off when I take the lid off after the batch completes. It can be extremely frustrating because you can lose the small part very easily.Another design flaw is the blade sits so high up in the machine which can make it hard to blend evenly and in to the fine texture.I havent try other features yet since making bean milk is my main reason of buying it since I already have professional nut milk maker. But not sure if this is a defective machine or if it is the product overall, the 5 stars across the board can be concerning and the 50 percent off gamic. It is going back. .
