Item arrived early and as advertised. I previously owned and still own Nyko's smaller two controller charge station for 8 years and it worked great. No complaints about setting up and connecting. You just need to make sure the controller is flat against the charging station so that the controller properly charges.

I bought this to replace a 2-bay Nyko charger that got damaged by the kids. The batteries for that unit were still okay, so now we have 2 spare ones along with 4 new. Works flawlessly, charges quickly - my only complaint is all backings for the controllers to replace the originals are black. We have some white, pink and blue controllers as well, so aesthetically it would be nice to have perhaps a few choices or additional backs to choose from - even as a separate option when buying. Beyond that, highly recommended!

This charger works great! My kids and I love to play the Wii and I found this charger and thought what a great opportunity to play even more! I was happy to see the retail packaging. I figured since it was name brand Nyko it would be in good shape and I was right. The only thing I didn't like but I understand is that the batteries that come with it for you to recharge have these metal contacts that have to come through the back casing. This means you have to replace the back panel of each Wii remote. It functions great but it just looks ugly on my nicely colored remotes. These charge my remotes in a very short period of time and my young kids have no problem recharging them themselves Thank you Amazon for the fast shipment and thank you Nyko for the good quality stuff!

Delivery was prompt, but two of the charging docks didn't work, right out of the box

Works great so far! Kids only play an hour or two at a time but we've been using the charger for a few weeks and it sure is nice not having to replace batteries! I find when placing the remotes on the charger you need to hear a click to know you have it in the right place. It sometimes takes a few seconds for the light to come on to show that it is charging, so be patient and don't move it around if you don't see the charging light on right away. Very happy with this purchase!

the quad charge station and 4 battery packs are great but i must admit looking at the picture which shows the docking station and 4 controllers, I thought it was a bit odd to receive the docking station and 4 batteries but no remotes to go with them.. in the discription it does state that you are not getting the controllers( yup i missed that at first) so it's my own fault. but i do think the pic alone is a bit misleading. That being said the charger does work great.

The good - you get four batteries, plus the charging station, plus four backings, and the charger works just fine. Can charge 4 controllers at one time. Plugging the battery into a controller was fairly simple and when it goes in, you KNOW it's going to stay there - it's a nice snug fit... and easy to do once you figure out exactly how to get it in place. (Yes, read the instructions)The minor annoyances - you have to take care to sit the controller in the charger "just so" so that the charging light comes on. One little bump and it might stop charging one of your units. When you sit the controller in the charger, it sits there by gravity alone - nothing holds it definitively in place while it charges... There also does not seem to be a way to charge batteries unless they are actually in a controller. I have two controllers and had hoped to keep four batteries charged for those marathon sessions... I am thinking of trying out the charger sitting on its back to see if the batteries will charge that way - but as I have curious cats in the house, I know they might knock them out of place. And - all the backings are black - so my blue wii controller is now black and blue.Like I said, it's a minor annoyance.Still, given the price, it is a really tough deal to beat. The batteries charged fairly quickly.I hope to repost soon with a report on battery endurance after I've used them for some time - so far, they've done well, and with these batteries, they say they gain full capacity after the 4th or 5th full charge. We shall see. 4 stars - took one off for the minor annoyances.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (2/15/2012):Out of all the "extras" that we ended up purchasing for our Wii, this has got to be the best! Goodbye to the days of replacing all those quickly worn out batteries!!! We keep this charger plugged in all the time, inside a storage ottoman (which is next to an AC outlet), so the remotes are stored safely inside, are nicely hidden, and the cats can't accidentally knock them down. You have to watch out for that, because they don't really snap into the charging cradles. Since the AC plug has a nice thin wire cord, it is nearly invisible running out of the back of the storage ottoman. The battery packs seem to hold a charge for quite a while!! We haven't had one run out yet, but then we always keep them on the charger. The light lets you know when they are charging, and when they are done, and they can't be overcharged. Given the cost of batteries, this was a very worthwhile purchase that I would recommend to everyone!UPDATED REVIEW (10/1/2012):Well this WAS great, while it lasted. The kids got this for Christmas, and 10 months later, we discover one of the four charging docks was not working. Upon closer inspection, it appears that one of the metal contacts just broke off by itself. (the kids swear nobody was rough with it or broke it. ha.. who knows). In any event, this should not have happened! What the other reviewers said about the Wii remotes not being able to make a good contact unless sitting "just right" on the cradle is 100% correct. We've seen this problem too. However, since we keep our charger out of sight, they tend not to get bumped, so they stay on okay. It's just a shame that this unit could not be made a bit sturdier. Since we have 4 remotes for the whole family, I must now purchase ANOTHER WHOLE CHARGING STATION, just so we can charge all 4 at once, for when everyone wants to play. I feel it was a waste of money for just 10 months of use. But not much else we can do -- at least we will have extra battery packs now from the old charger, in case any of those decide to not take a charge anymore.UPDATE: 4/5/2019 - Charging station replacement #2 now has one dock that is dead. Bummer, because my now teenage kids have become re-interested in playingg w/ the Wii again after several years of neglect.

This product is presumably exactly like the Nyko Quad Charger in white: One difference is that unlike the white set, the new battery backs used with the charger are all black rather than in different colors. This wasn't important to us since we usually have the sleeves on the controllers anyway, but some people seem to really like that feature. The dock does what it's supposed to well. You cannot charge the Wiimotes with a Wii Motion Plus attached, but the two controllers we use the most often have the Motion Plus built in so this isn't an issue. Like most chargers (other than the flat panel charger), you must remove the sleeve in order to charge but that's usually the case with these kind of chargers and not too much of a pain as the batteries stay charged for a pretty long time. The batteries also charge quickly; I've never timed it but it's only a couple of hours and they are ready to go (it's easy to tell because the lights at the bottom of the dock turn from blue to green).Overall, exactly what we were expecting. Does a good job for a good price.
