It is a basic clamshell block design that does what it is supposed to do.I would suggest using it at the same time as an upper receiver receiver rod on the inside, such as the Midwest Upper Receiver Rod, and you'll be solid to apply necessary pressure distributed across all layers locked in place to avoid any torque damage.

Don’t waste your money. Amazon this isn’t a vise block for an ar or anything I can think of.
