Specification
- One end of the adapter features a 4" rubber boot with stainless steel clamps for easy installation and can be removed without the need for assorted screws. The other end is made of ABS that accepts a standard shop vacuum hose with a 2-1/4" OD.
- Durable ABS plastic end with 2-1/2" OD (outside diameter) and 2-1/4" ID(inside diameter) is perfectly suited for various tools, dust collection fitting and vacuum hoses.
- Rubber boot(4" inside diameter ) and a hose clamp fit a 4" outside diameter power tool port. ABS plastic port is tough and wear-resistant, which can extend the use time.

This thing fits perfectly on top of my jet sander. Plus the ring allows it to tighten and it won’t fall off when changing or cleaning the paper.

This dust collector adaptor easily fits over the 4 inch input port on my dust collector. The supplied steel hose clamp snugs the adaptor so there is no air leakage. Now you can easily attach a 2.25 inch hose to the dust collector.I don't see any warnings in the manual for the dust collector, but I suspect that making the input port smaller increases the resistance to air flow and increases the work of the motor. Over time this could have a negative effect on the motor.

Works as intended. Even after blocking openings on saw as best I could, still doesn't keep dust from flying around. Not fault of product, but design of saw.

Fits like a glove on my band saw's 4" dust discharge. My shop vac hose slips into the small end without a need for clamping but could if ever I needed to. This was a game changer to controlling the dust while cutting. I leave the reducer connected to the band saw and simply slip the hose out if I need to use the vacuum somewhere else. Well worth the money.

This item, while fitting just fine, is made of two pieces: one is the reducer down to 2.5”, and the other is a softer rubber 4” sleeve. These two pieces are connected together in a way that isn’t tightenable, and they leak. It is also a sudden 90° reduction down to 2.5” instead of any gradual reduction that would promote proper airflow.
