I was so excited to find this and install it, it fit great into the existing floor piping but the standard wax rings do not sit properly on this because of the shape of the hole. Not sure why the 3” is so different from the 4” design but now I have to do even more work to remove this and repair again. Thankfully I have more than one toilet.

The flange is made of flimsy plastic and the plumber had to take the toilet off 4 times because the toilet bolts kept sliding out. He got rid of this one and bought a regular one that took 2 minutes for the toilet to be bolted in place.

I have a 3” ABS drain. This fit right in and I barely twisted it and it is TIGHT…So tight that when I tried to adjust it, I couldnt get it to budge. So I just left it in. Pro tip: When you put it in the first time, put it in close to where you want to holes on the flange to end up…but slightly counter-clockwise so that when you twist it clockwise it will end up where you want it. See how tight it is, dont twist hard so that you dont end up slightly past where you want the holes and not able to easily remove it to adjust it.One big con: When installed, your 3” drain interior pipe diameter becomes a 2.5” interior diameter. No big deal if you want to use a standard wax ring. But for me, I had a wax ring leak prompting this repair, and wanted to use one of the wax ring replacements…some kind of rubber ring replacement. ALL of the ones I could find have drop funnels that are designed to fit kinda snuggly into 3” diameter pipes and this makes it impossible. I found others with this issue online and one manufacturer responded and said the drop funnels are designed to be cut and it shouldn't affect the seal. I guess we will see.

My metal ring rusted away from the current flange, and the current flange (ABS) was glued together. This slides right down the existing plastic part of the original flange and screws down for a sturdy seal. Once the wax seal is in place it acts as any other flange and saves the time and expense from having to rip out subfloor and re-build the piping. Most waste pipes for toilets are 3 inches, so this just slides in.
