The floor flange had been under a toilet for about 75 years, and had worn down on it's backside. I might have been able to use a smaller simpler metal repair ring to repair it and secure the new toilet, but wanted it to be very solid and good for another 75 years. Also, drilling holes in the concrete slab was something I didn't have adequate tools for, and instead attached this to the existing iron flange. It did end up being about 1/2" higher up than ideal. That was compensated for by adding a layer of vinyl tile as a mat under the new toilet.

Nicely made heavy duty cast iron toilet flange. If installed properly should last a life time !!!

I used this during the remodel of a bathroom. The old flange had broken up and could no longer hold a toilet in place. After removing the old flange by drilling out the melted lead and pulling out the Oakum, I knew there was no way I was going melt lead and pour it around a new flange. ( watch YouTube Video's ).This product made it so much easier, it just slides into the pipe and twist it till it's tight and lined up where you want it. I did spray some lithium grease on the threads to make it easy to remove in case I want to take it out in the future. Very solid and holds the toilet tight with no problems.

My husband was busy with work so my 24 year old daughter installed this on her own. So, yes it was easy to install. It works great. It's thick iron, good quality.

Works well so far on a clean installation. It will easy to change out if needed in the (far) future. Thick cast iron, good quality. Easy to work with and spin into position properly.

Perfect fix for my 1958 home. Toilet flange rotted away, leaving cast iron pipe sticking out of concrete foundation. This cast iron flange was an ideal fix. It installed easily in the cast iron piping, and was easy to adjust to proper height and bolt position. A bit more expensive, but well worth it.
