Getting ready for a road trip and realized my somewhat older sports car doesn’t have a convenient 12V outlet to plug in my detector. So I was happy to find this solution that taps into the OBD socket. Installation was super simple, just plugged it in and ran the wire up and along the front edge of the dash. The kit came with a little trim tool that I used to tuck the wire into place. Easy peasy. Plugged it into my Escort, turned on the key (the OBD connection is switched, not constantly live) and powered it up!Overall, super happy to find this and I’ll probably order another for my other car. Great value as well.

The OBD Radar Detector Cable, OBDII Radar Detector Charger Cable works great for powering my Escort Max 360c radar detector through the OBDII port in my Cybertruck. I like that it features a double-sided connector—one side plugs into the vehicle’s OBD2 port, while the other has an open connector for additional OBD2 devices. It also comes with a trim tool to help run the cable for a clean, hard-wired look.One downside is that the power is always on, so you’ll need to remember to disconnect or turn off the radar detector when not in use.

I had some qualms about connecting a no-name OBB2 product to my vehicle, but this unit performed as advertised. Ditto with the 5-minute shutdown.I already use my car's port for a dashcam, but this allows me to pack my Uniden when travelling or using in a rental.The price is a little high, though. This would be a good deal at $20, not $30. And there is no domestic warranty past Amazon's return period.⭐️1 star — I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars — I don't recommend it: has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars — It's passable: it has some faults, but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars — Product quite acceptable, and it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars — Product that I totally recommend.

The OBD cable works great and was really simple to install within my sedan. The width of the cable itself isn’t too large, making it easy to hide behind molding and plastic panels. The length of the cable was pretty much the ideal length for my car with about an extra foot of cable that I just zip tied and put behind the floor board panel of my drivers side.

Power activation occurs within seconds of vehicle startup, exhibiting high-quality construction. Sufficient cord length ensured adequate reach beneath the mirror, and automatic shutoff is implemented five minutes after vehicle shutdown.
