Obusform has been producing great back supports for many years. They are very durable and give great support from top to bottom.

I'm 5'3" and the back rest is made for a taller person. The sides of the back press in just at the height if my kidneys so is uncomfortable to lean on. The structure is fine for a taller individual. It is well made and supports as advertised. If it came in different sizes it would be great.

I really wanted this to workThe design is genius but the material does not feel good at all. If it was firmer, would've loved it but it's not. I am just disappointed like why use low quality material for such a genius product. This product could've done well if the designer would've used high quality material but sadly it wasn't comfortable

This backrest is exactly what I needed. It is comfortable to use and provides the right amount of support for my back. I like the extra lumbar support, which is attached by Velcro, allowing me to position it just where I wanted it. Excellent product!

This extra tall seat cushion has been a life saver for me. I need lumbar support but my neck also needs support. So this seat offers suport to the whole back. This is my second one. The first one lasted three yrs of light to medium use daily. Eventually it lost the lumbar strenght. But It is the only back cushion I have found that covers neck to lumbar.

My original back support by ObusForme finally wore out after 8 years of daily use in my car. It has help with occupational back injuries and long road trips. I would highly recommend this product for anyone suffering back issues.

It is lightweight but very sturdy and the memory foam is soft enough to protect my aching back and shoulder blades. Best thing for me is that it is as high as my head, allowing my shoulders and damaged neck to have full support when I have to sit in a short back, armless regular chair. It was wonderful at a meeting last night, and I tested it in my church sanctuary! Perfect support for full back, neck, and head! Very well made, easily portable, and arrived in one day. Highly recommend!

The ObusForme support sounded exactly like what I needed. It's very well made. Lightweight and easy to transport. It's what I imagined would help my back and I was excited when I found it. Unfortunately, my back hurt more after using it. I took breaks between usage, just to be sure. But every time I used it, my back hurt more. I have cervical spondylosis and need some sort of support behind my neck and head when I sit on the couch. I also have middle back trouble from a fall. Unfortunately, this was not the right fit for me. Be sure and try it out well during your first 30 days so you can return it if you need to.

I have a number of issues causing back pain and have thought of acquiring the lumbar support pillow for some time. I only wish I had done it sooner. Almost immediately I felt some pain relief in my lower back and a sense of comfort along my whole spinal area. It does not completely eliminate my pain issues, but it does help alleviate them. the only improvement I would like to see is the upper portion being a little wider. Would I buy one again?, i am buying a second one so I will have one for upstairs and downstsirs.

I have been trying to figure out how to make this bike seat more comfortable for the last 2 years. It just has no low back support, and as it's a slingback seat, it also causes me upper back pain because it puts me in a slouchy position while I'm trying to steer the bike.This seat back has a hard plastic core so it is very rigid in frame, but it has a nice amount of padding, so it is very comfortable. I use the extra lumbar cushion to support my neck, as it velcros on anywhere so you can move it around wherever you want. I think I'm going to get another one for my mom's wheelchair. It also is very comfortable on the couch. It's just incredibly versatile.

I'm not one to regularly leave product reviews - mainly because most of what I've purchased on Amazon are books, and I really think that's up to each reader. But I AM going to leave feedback on this BACKREST. Background: I have a "bad back" (congenital defect where there is very little room up the center of the vertebrae for the spinal cord. I had a slipped disc at L4-L5 about 20 years ago (chiro), the onset of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome throughout my IT career (chiro), a whiplash at C4-C5 in a head on collision (chiro), a complete "blowout" of my L4-L5 that had me on the floor screaming for 911 which involved morphine and carrying me on a board to the ambulance for an emergency fusion of my L4-L5 (neurosurgeon, titanium plate), and NOW, my C4-C5 (never healed properly), after trying EVERYTHING with my great chiropractor, had an MRI and the vertebrae are damaging my spinal cord, causing my entire right arm to go numb if I hold it above waist level for any length of time. So I will have my SECOND back surgery December 21st, 2010 (ho ho ho...). SOOOO... I have been around the block with back/neck pain. I have tried too many chairs to mention. NONE ever were "right." My last chair (executive leather) was HORRID once I sat in front of my Mac with it, and went to Salvation Army. My "new" chair is "okay," but I just didn't have the support I needed to sit in it for long hours in front of the computer and it caused middle back pain (which is ACTUALLY what got me seeing my chiro again - it was after a period of adjustments that the C4-C5 problem became apparent). I bought a "chiro Backrest" (The Ultimate? - a Canadian company) from his office, but that was useless - no support at all. I was reluctant to give this Backrest a try - but I'm not about to sell my Mac Pro and just use my laptop because of my back. So I gave this a try. THIS is the "Ultimate" (if there ever was one)! It COMPLETELY supports you. I use it without the lumbar pad, but I can see how someone who hasn't been operated on there may need that support. It's Velcro, so you can put it EXACTLY where you need it. The Backrest is awesome and fits like a glove. I have a tendency (the neck) to lean a bit forward, so I added what is actually a "lumbar roll" support around the top of this Backrest for my neck and it works like a charm. I have only positive things to say about this product. If I were you, I would buy THIS ONE, and have a happy back. I may get one for my car. The company is 5 STAR all the way; ships fast, great product at a MUCH LOWER price than most "ergo gear," and I've talked with them on the phone (number is in their Amazon profile) and they are SO customer-oriented! So, there's my "two cents," from someone who NEEDED this Backrest, and I am hoping this review will be able to help others like me (even if you have a GOOD back - if you want comfort and TAKE CARE of your back - buy this).
