These appear to be able to hold things tight but the quality of the fit and finish is horrible, I'll throw these in the tool box and get another for fine model and sewing work.

Do not buy these. These are cheap Chinese crap. Go to your local granger store and pick up some for like 3 bucks and I promise those will last a life time. When I got these in the mail I honestly thought they were a joke. They look like they just came off of a 80 grit belt sander and the wiggle in the joint is unacceptable.

Only criticism is I thought they would be stainless steel. However, they filled the bill for what I needed them.
