These may be for some TOO smooth. Once you start rolling, you'll roll a LONG way. Super smooth and QUIET! With time, the soft-ish urethane wheels will pick up grit (I'm using on only hard floors now) and embed into the surface more than hard wheels. BUT, since they are quite flexible, they should remain smooth-rolling.I do like them enough to have ordered another couple sets for my other chairs.

I had been having issues with my OEM plastic casters on my chair scratching up the hardwood floors so I purchased some rollerblade style wheels as I had frequently seen recommended online. The wheels glided amazingly. However, they worked TOO well. My floors aren't level and I am a large person--if I shifted my weight even a tiny amount my chair would move around and I struggled with ergonomics because I couldn't push completely into my desk (again, I'm a large person).I didn't want to go back to the plastic wheels so I checked these out. So far, they work like a charm. They are much kinder to the floors and they glide well, but they have better friction and grip so I am not flying all over the place. another plus is that they are closer in height to the OEM wheels than the rollerblades typically are, so I could go back to the correct adjustments in height on my chair. Very satisfied.

I had a set of wheels that looked like inline skates and while they were better than the standard wheels that come with office chairs there were issues. These wheels work extremely well on wood floors. The dimples on the wheel are a design feature (much needed). Without them I would slide all over the place. I'm a big guy and these wheels can handle my weight no problem. These fit any standard office chair. the installation was super easy to install. Time will tell if the bearings can stand up to regular use but I am confident they will. Certainly if I only got a year out of them I'd still be ok because these are priced cheap enough.

First off, they roll, not slide, across wood floors. Nice when you just remodeled your house and want to protect that huge investment. They are quiet, and they roll REALLY well. I am 200+ pounds and I put these on a big Beautyrest executive chair and they work great. I can roll all the way across the office with a little nudge. They do raise my chair up a little, so be aware you might need to lower your chair or invest in a foot stool to have your knees at a more comfortable angle. But I would 100% recommend these over the crappy plastic rollers. Also, I've had the rollerblade style wheels (have them on my identical chair at work) and I prefer these spherical ones. I think they change direction better than the rollerblade style ones, but that could be a placebo effect because these are prettier.

No one seems to make a wheel that won't get caught in the grout lines on tile floors. "Make a flat wide wheel" and you'll sell the heck out of a caster that really won't get cought in tile grout lines!! wake up!!

Wife and I were able to snag a tremendous deal on two fully decked out Body-bilt office chairs during the pandemic while WFH. They came with the OEM's dual-wheel carpet casters but we use them in the basement on concrete and a thin chair pad. We purchased one set to give them a try. Well, we ended up buying two sets. Now both chairs have these and they make the chairs even all the better.Installation ease?Super easy to swap out, no tools! Super easy to roll around and with the thin chair pad the chair does stay in place without drift and is very easy to move around. Why a chair pad?The chair pad is basically extra low pile felt on a rubber backing making it about 1/16" thick. Thin enough to not cause excess friction on the balls and risk ruining the post mounts or other parts of the chair due to unexpected forces; and just thick enough to prevent feeling like you're on ice and having to hold yourself in place which can cause even quicker fatigue. If the concrete or hard floors are dead-on level, you don't need the pad (although it would help save your floors from wear). Our basement floor is on an ever so slight pitch where I have my "office" setup and the chair pad helps keep the chair in place so that my moving and wiggling don't cause the chair to walk around -- that's just how easy these make your chair to move!

Previously I have been using in-line skate type wheels on my hardwood floors. They rolled with extreme smoothness...almost too much. When I got out of the chair, Newton's third law of motion sent it scooting across the room. But what I disliked most about them was that they did not swivel well at all. They "swivel" would lock up with any change of direction. These wheels however, swivel quite well and provide just the right amount roll-ability. I highly recommend them for wood floors.
