You would need to tamper the plastic on the marking because it gets hanged up to where you can not pull it out. You can use a lighter to melt plastic use your fingers to give it the tampered look

My sons old dip stick was on the verge of tearing apart. I got him this one it's just like the original. No difference from what I can tell. Looks and feels the same
