I bought this to assist with an AC unit that had drainage issues. So I didn’t use it for oil changes. But it worked great for the AC unit. The tube was small enough to fit into the crevice where water was accumulating. It pumped the water out fast. The only down side was it was a little loud but that was no big deal. Overall super happy with the purchase; price and quality were great!

The pump works, but I was sent an obviously used pump. The cord was loosely wound around the pump and the tubing was kinked and dirty. I did not purchased a "renewed" item, and was expecting to receive a new item.

I used this pump for a couple of projects, including suctioning used engine oil through the dipstick for a 3.6L Pentastar in a 2014 WK2 Grand Cherokee, as well as replenishing the PTU fluid on a 2016 KL Cherokee.I don't think this pump was originally designed for transferring viscous fluid such as engine oil. It does work, however, albeit slowly and with some caveats. The first time I used it was to drain all the old oil through the dipstick for a Grand Cherokee. I had the pump plugged into a power bank with 2.4A output, and that process took over 3 hours. While the pump did get hot (not excruciatingly, but still enough to be of some concern) it did not quit through the entire process. The other time I used it was for fluid change for the PTU on a KL Cherokee. It's one of those sealed units with "lifetime" fluids, which is a complete and utter lie. I drilled a hole on the bottom of the PTU, let the old fluid drain out, and tapped it for a M5 bolt. Initially, I tried to use the pump to fill the PTU with new gear oil, but it was having a really hard time transferring the viscous fluid up into the PTU. After wasting about an hour, I realized what the culprit was. The thin teflon tube connected to the short silicone tube was creating a significant amount of restriction to let the viscous fluid through. I grabbed a thicker teflon tube that I had laying around and used that instead, and the pump start chugging along at a much faster rate and got the work done in no time.Ditch the thin teflon tube that comes with the pump, and get something slightly thicker. That'll speed up the pump significantly.

I used this oil pump extractor three times, and the housing cracked. This might have been because I left it outside overnight in cold weather. The intake hose is made by joining a larger and smaller hose, but when I rinsed it with hot water, the connection came apart. Overall, the quality is average and could be improved.
