It works. Kind of a pain to install as it takes three hands, however that would apply to any rebuild kit. Glad it restored my 1/4" drive power ratchet. We shall see if it lasts. BTW. Milwaukee corporate better get a handle on ALL the counterfeit crap being pedaled on Amazon. I gambled on what claims to be sold by Milwaukee but doubt it is the real deal. I sure as heck won't buy ANYTHING significant identified as Milwaukee OR DeWalt on Amazon.

I bought this because the old cap was leaking oil. This one did too. Finally got a thin metal washer from Lowe's to add to it because it has a loose fit and seeps oil out around the cap.

Good product. Either my oil block diameter was off a little or it was the plug itself. However with a slight modification. The plug is fairly snug now.

Well built and solid. The locking tabs are too thick for the 1990 Jeep Comanche 4.0L. Ended up taking the rubber gasket off this cap and installing it on the old cap. Seals well

This oil cap does not last. I bought one last year, and just got back from a trip last weekend where I had to rig this mess up with duct tape because it didn't hold and vibrated out. Thankfully I found it in my engine bay. Bad thing to happen 50 miles away from the nearest paved road. No telling how much crud got in my engine between losing it and when I realized I was leaking oil out the valve cover.Specs: 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 Liter I6.

This fit perfect for my 88 yj 4.2l . The old seal was bad on the original cap.

replaced the old one on my XJ which was leaking oil around the top that I wasn't aware of. The old gasket on the cap apparently was missing. Replace this first if you think your oil manifold gasket is bad and see if it fixes it.

This oil cap fits a Jeep 2.5. Plastic is black, seal is rubber. Fits in to hole for which it was designed in the top of the valve cover. This oil cap prevents oil from coming out of the engine during operation or while engine in inverted. Oil cap may be easily removed to allow the addition of oil.Pros: cap is black in color, which helps hide dirt and grime.Cons: ineffective as a flotation device in the event of a water landing. What else is there to say? It's an oil cap.
