This was an exact replacement for my 75' cj5. No modifications needed. Already had the hole in it where the fuel tank vent line goes in.

This was a bit long, I didn't trim it has a little sharper bend just before the tank. Suggest you replace the stock hose clamp, ours was rusty after almost 40 years and didn't want to take a chance of failure on the trail. Took a little bit of work to get the breather vent off the old filler tube. Hint a small wire brush and WD40 are your friends. A little bit of muscle to install on new filler tube, see pic, and all is good.

I ended up not using this because the problem was with my vent hose (not the filler). If you need a vent hose, good luck trying to find it. I ended up settling on a a different model year vent hose and cutting it down to size. The bends weren't quite right, but I made it work.
