Awful quality, the seal housing is too small so you have to take it to a machine shop to take off a lot of material for the seal to fit. I tried doing it myself, ended up damaging the seal too

Easy install, perfect fit , fast shipping . 89 Wrangler YJ . Direct bolt on installation . Reading the other reviews I was a little weary of this part fitting . Been right at a month and still no leaks . I will recommend to my friends .

Grooves in the inner wall where seal is inserted. These are deep enough that fluid may seep past the seal. Indentations on bottom plate. Admittedly this would probably not affect the seal to the YSE, but its just bad quality control. A split bushing. Who does that? How does that make sense. This is a weak link and would probably come loose at some point, but that's actually minor as it can be replaced with a solid bushing before install. Anyway, I will be returning this for a replacement. Not mad.

When i opened the box and inspected the Extension housing, I noticed the opening that allows the fluid to keep outer seal lubricated had not been machined correctly, thus causing the opening not be fully cleared to allow the fluid to pass through. I was able to gently remove the excess metal and install the part; however that was a waist of my time. Once the outer seal was installed and the housing was installed in the jeep, i tested the install in my shop and no leak was present, however after driving up and down the road 1 time an estimated trip of 2 miles, the inner seal released out of the housing and pushed through the outer seal and the transfer case slung fluid all over the undercarriage and left me sitting on the side of the road with smoking leaking Jeep, that's pretty sorry for a new part that is meant to go on a 4x4 Jeep to not even last driving on a main road for 3 miles at 35 mph. TERRIBLE QUALITY

Ordered from Amazon because QXXXXXTEC was out and needed it fast! Thanks Amazon for having it and shipping fast! Fixed my broken one on my 1994 Jeep YJ with NP231 transfer case. Perfect fit. Looked like one i took off. Old one broke after the wifey tried learning to drive a stick and thought the gas needed mashed down then let out the clutch to get going....BANG!!! So a new Yoke part of the rear Driveshaft and this tailhousing needed replaced. Mine came with a new bushing in it. You'll need a new Seal ( Omix-Ada 18676.29 Transfer Case Output Shaft Oil Seal ) and that was a bit of a pain to install because you need to line it up just right to get it to fit.
