I bought this to replace the torn boot on my 85 Trans Am. It is not an exact replacement as it is a bit smaller in diameter than the original. In all other respects, it works great. I used a small amount of RTV to fill the void, then clamped it back in the housing.

Bought as a used but INSPECTED item! The item came completely torn in half but with a inspected sticker, clearly someone is not doing there job in the inspection department because rubber does not get torn in the mail! Not even worth my time to take it back for what I paid for it

I did not use the seal for the Jeep application it was made for. The GM or an aftermarket seal is not available for my application, a 1988 S10. I had read online that this seal was a good substitute for the steering input shaft on GM vehicles. The side with the "double d" flats is a perfect fit but the larger round side is too small (~.200") to make a proper waterproof seal. I had read of users just crimping it back in place but I feel it would be too loose a fit for that so I machined a steel ring to use as a bushing on my lathe that had the OD of the old seal and the ID of the new seal.Works perfect now.
