Broke one stick within like 10 minutes of playing. Good value, but the quality shows.

I just started learning drums a few months ago, so I bought the 5B maple sticks with wood tips. I may be new to drums, but I've been playing guitar 10+ years, and as a guitar teacher, I'm around drummers eons above my league daily. I usually practice drums for 20-40mins at a time, twice a day, so basically an hour per day average. After just ONE practice the tip of my right stick completely splinters off, leaving the stick with a dead and dull tone. This is NOT supposed to happen. I've witnessed drummers break sticks for over a decade, and the tips on their sticks will still be in tact even once they split/break in half. With these, the stick could look 99% new, but if you used it once the tip will have exploded already. Sure, you can keep using the stick once the tip is broken, but you will have less rebound, and sound very muffled. Check the picture, I'd say my sticks would have 95%+ life if it wasn't for the tip shattering. The extremely poor quality of these sticks makes them entirely useless IMO. ONE BOX of these = ONE PAIR of quality sticks. Save your time and money, buy sticks that don't break almost instantly. Also one last thing, amazon gives you the option to rate these as "lightweight" lol, they are light, but that's BAD for drum sticks. One star all the way for me, these are not worth the money, let alone the hassle.

Light and Sturdy, Great Value for the number of sticks included! Perfect for playing swiftly. Have had these sticks for a month now and have only broken 1 so far. I should also add that I hit with the butt of my sticks, like Vinnie Paul from Pantera, so I find these to be good for the BOOM BOOM lol As long as your not ANGRY ASF Beating the Heck outta your drums as hard as you can, I think these'll last you a long while! Will definitely be trying out a Larger size soon!

These are awful sticks. But don't get me wrong, depending on your situation, these might be worth it. I tend to break a pair of these in about a week or two. For reference, it takes me a month or two to break a pair of Vic Firth 7A's with the amount I play. 12 pairs of vic firths cost around 100$, but 12 of these are far cheaper. If you do the math, you get more out of your money with these. But take into account that half-broken or chipped sticks don't sound nice. Don't go into a performance with these because they degrade and chip very quickly. All in all, they make good practice sticks.

My husband has been playing since he was 16 and now he is 42. He buys this and is happy with it. These sticks are great for an "everyday" use. Quality is fine, he does play hard since he loves metal music. It's a great value for the price and the amount you get. It's one of those "it works" for what you need it to.

I am a metal drummer that plays very aggressive, so of course about every show I break 1 or 2 sticks. This gets 5 stars for the price. Each pair is less than $2. My favorite sticks are $11 a piece. The sticks will sometimes have different weights, will break if playing aggressive, but the price is well worth the sticks.

While these sticks are "budget cheap" sticks, I have to say they exceeded my expectations by a long shot! They are real light as others have said, but I really didn't have the issues with them breaking like many others have stated. I'd consider myself a medium power player. I don't bash my drums. All I can think is these people must not play with any dynamics what so ever if they are breaking as fast as they claim!!! I maybe had a stick or two out of 24 that I thought could of lasted a bit longer, but for their weight and price- they're great! Though they are no vic firths, or other sticks that run 8 to 16 dollars a pair, they are a steal for the price! You just can't compare these in that kind of league! That's like buying a pinto and complaining it's not as good as a corvette!!! Lol.... if your a "basher", then maybe spend a few more bucks and go the more sturdy route. I think an average attack drummer who likes lighter sticks will be surprised! I am reviewing the wood tips by the way! The last "budget" plastic tips I bought, I can't say the same about! The tips shot off before the sticks had a chance to break! Anyways, these ones have been surprising for me personally! They've held up through a few 4-hour gigs already and I haven't went through but a couple pair!

This stick is for drummer who like to hit their drums hard. They will eventually break though but we know that's the lay of the land for most drumsticks. There is a market for drummer who need big drum sticks. The size of this stick is slightly or perhaps equal to those of another brand that used to sell big drum sticks size 7B. The On Stage 5B to the eye appears to be slightly larger? If you need big sticks, I would get these. My only suggestion to the company is that could we get more sticks in each package? Right now, we're getting 12 pairs. I'd like to see a few more included. If you play in band that deal with softer dynamics, then these sticks are not for you. Rock band drummers will love these sticks. I like to hit the drums as hard as I can. You can imagine the sound! These sticks are perfect for me!
